St Louis, looking to make a splash in their new city want Wentz or Goff in the worst way.

So they trade us #15, #44 (from Philly) and #46 for #4 and our 3rd rounder.

That gives us #15, #35, #44 and #46................

1st (15) - Noah Spence (Hardy is not resigned), DE
2nd (35) - Kendell Fuller, CB
2nd (44) - Jayron Kearse, SS
2nd (46) - Braxton Miller, WR
4th Rd - CJ Prosise, TB
5th Rd - Darius Latham, DT
6th Rd - Graham Glasgow, C/OG
7th Rd - Kyle Carter, TE

I didn't worry about comp picks.

Big free agent signings would be Miller at TB, Danny Trevathan at MLB and a real 1 tech like Ian Williams or Mebane. Possibly a vet safety to pair with Jones as Kearse gets his feet wet (although I guess you could put Wilcox there for now).

What's it going to be then, eh?

If the Rams are looking for a marquee name, I don't think trading up for the kid from North Dakota State is going to enflame the fanbase in Los Angeles.

Goff would be the way to do that, I would suspect.

Thats would be good. Wilcox shouldn't even be the water boy at this point.

Not necessarily looking for the marquee name but the QB they can hang their hats on for the next 10 years (at least that would be the plan).

Admittedly, there ain't a frog's chance in hell that trade would even happen IMO.

What makes that trade so unlikely to happen? I've seen teams give up much more for less of a jump.

Some teams are known for trading...some are not.

Not sure of the recent history of the rams but one would think they would desire to make a big splash coming into the LA Market.

They have the ammo for it . They have two 2nd rounders and an already loaded defense . All they are missing is a good QB and WR. How many tickets will they sell without a good QB ?

St. Louis doesn't appear to be the type of team that would do something like that. They seem like a pretty conservative org.

And Goff could be that QB...LA Market and although he is not a UCLA product...he is still a player in Cali.

Just don't know how much they would be willing to trade, if they would trade and if the Cowboys would be willing to take an offer that did not blow their socks off.

If they like a player at 4 and I mean really like a player...they probably would have to get a crazy deal ( a deal in the favor of Dallas by a good bit) before moving down.

If the Browns select Wentz , I do think the Rams would be all over trading up for Goff.

I do too. That team is a quarterback away from the playoffs. And they have the running game and defense to protect a young rookie quarterback.

As for the mock, if we drop to 15 and Ezekiel Elliott is there, we've GOT to take him. I think he'd make more of an immediate impact than Spenc. He also is our Romo insurance.

I'm for resigning Hardy, especially since I believe we can get him on the cheap. And I expect both DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory to be better in 2016.

Otherwise, I do like the mock.

With no Hardy, you have to take Spence there. Best pass rusher in the draft.

Elliott is easily one of the most overrated payers in this draft IMO. Not that hes not a good TB. It's because I think people are completely overestimating his effect on a game relative to say signing a guy like Miller.

To go from 15 to 4 you have to give up something in a future year. So really all teams have the ammo. It's just whether they're willing to deal future 1s and 2s.

The Rams seem more included to trade to accumulate picks. See Jerome Bettis, Eric Dickerson and the RGIII trade.
Having said that, I think this club realizes that it needs to seriously invest in a quarterback. They basically have everything else.

I saw what he did to three top college teams in 2014. He holds the ball tight, close to his body and is great at blocking, receiving and running the ball.

I'm pretty tired of retread running backs. Maybe that's my bias, but I want a fresh stud.

Plus, Jerry Jones was one of the key figures in winning the approval for the Rams move to LA. They might be a good trading partner for the Cowboys.....The NFL doesn't want a Rams team to crash and burn in LA.... So drafting a Wentz, Goff or Lynch would go along way towards building that LA fanbase.

Of course the fans are also wanting a vet QB like RG3/Peyton Manning too.

true all teams do but I feel like a team with an extra 1st or 2nd rounder its more tempting. With their recent relocation I think it makes sense for them. They simply cannot go into the season with Keemun as their starter. Their 1st ,2nd and 3rd would be tempting(in this draft).

I agree with the people that believe Goff might be our opportunity to trade back and get more picks. The Rams drafting him makes so much sense and even though the Rams are not known for that kind of move I could see it happening with the move to LA and Goff being the local boy.
