Honestly, Lady Gaga seems like the perfect actress for the Harley Quinn role. That last shot with the lipstick was fantastic. I'm officially intrigued.
I'll watch it but I thought the first one had a finite ending. Sort of like Unbreakable with its realistic take, and how Bruce Willis is off to be the superhero. Joker I's ending reminded me of that with the downtrodden trashing the city, and he's leading the crowd, and off to be the famous crazy bad guy.

Unbreakable was the first part of a loose trilogy.

Tempted to go see this film this weekend. Rich Eisner had Henry Cavill on his show and talked the movie up and described it as Dirty Dozen meets Inglorious *******s and I love both those movies. Also a fan of Guy Ritchie's stuff. Has Reacher and the Witcher, what more do you need?

Looks intriguing. Shyamalan always has a twist in his movies, so you know there is something to be expected. I know he doesn't have the greatest track record with movies, but he throws down a good one here and there. I'll check it out.

To prepare to enjoy The Kingdom, I watched a film about humans interacting with compassionate, and violent apes...

Review of Kingdo0m of the Planet of the Apes.

I know ground work was set in the film, and I was waiting for it to soar. But that just never happened.

Complaints:

I thought there was a place in the film for a "Get you hands off me you damn dirty ape" line. Opportunity missed there.

I couldn't understand what was being said in some parts.

I wasn't sure which chimp was who sometimes.

Last I read he sold his vineyard to fund and make this movie, but couldn’t find a distributor willing to take a chance on a $100m+ ‘indie’ movie.

It definitely looks experimental. Like Cloud Atlas crossed with Blade Runner crossed with Babylon. I am intrigued.

An insider had this to say about Coppola’s work as the director -

“He would often just sit in his trailer for hours on end, wouldn’t talk to anybody, was often smoking marijuana … And hours and hours would go by without anything being filmed. And the crew and the cast would all stand around and wait. And then he’d come out and whip up something that didn’t make sense, and that didn’t follow anything anybody had spoken about or anything that was on the page, and we’d all just go along with it, trying to make the best out of it.”

This is either going to be amazing or atrocious.
