I will remain hopeful, but you're not wrong. I'd say 9/10 times they fumble these late sequels.

Some so terrible I pretend they don't exist in their movie universe *cough* Matrix 4 *cough*.
I still can’t understand how Warner Bros ever gave that film the green light.

There was NOTHING there in terms of a story worth telling.

Anyone get the chance to see this yet? It just came out.

Most reviews say Nicholas Cage is absolutely stellar and the visuals are great, but some reviews are not as positive regarding the story itself.

I hate the loud shrieking. I think that would bother me more than anything in the script or special effects. Just wondering when the next ear-piercing sound is coming.

Yeah I have a bad feeling. The movie cost 310 mil to make. I just find this sequel unnecessary and the music they chose...really threw me off.

Did Marvel produce this film? lol

Crazy budget for a sequel that doesn't have the main character from the 1st one. I know he died and glad he wasn't brought back to life lol.
I'm optimistic, but at the same time I don't feel like I need to see it at the theater. Can wait to stream it.

Still do not understand WHY it must be a musical. I would be waiting for it with higher anticipation like Joker if it wasn't.

I 'knew' Joaquin Rivers had the potential of being a great Joker. He was, although I still put Heath Ledger at the top of my list.

Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn? I am not feeling that yet, even after watching a couple of trailers.

I saw Harley when the first Suicide Squad trailer was released. Margot Robbie nailed the character for me from jump. So far, I have only seen Lady Gaga. No Harley. Hopefully, the metamorphosis will hit me in October.

Is there any info of how much of the movie is a musical? Disney cartoon level? Or 3-4 times in a 90-120min run time?
The more I watch the trailer, the more I wonder how much of the scenes are "real" in that universe or just inside his head?

Just one critique: Rivers?

Or hers, considering the characters' traits.

But that's a good thing to consider.
