Oh HELL YEAH!!!!
I find that unless the accents are really bad, I usually get used to them during the movie.I've always felt that there was room for Marvel to do a "Bourne Identity" type of films featuring Black Widow and Hawkeye doing their "SHIELD/spy" stuff. This has a bit of that feel to it to me based on that trailer. But not sure if all of the forced accents worked for me. Either way, it has a much 'smaller' feel to it than the recent blockbusters. Maybe that's by design?
Looks like I am flipping a coin when I choose my next film avatar after Christmas. I am a huge fan of Daniel Craig's portrayal of the character. This looks like his final rodeo with the introduction of the female Bond.
Guess seeing a trailer finally shuts me up about an actual movie coming out. Glad to see Yelena Belova's debut. It will be fun watching the original and successor Widows going toe-to-toe but it does not look like they will be adversaries (for long).
I think you are right about the Red Room program giving all its female agents the Black Widow codename. Natasha and Yelena were considered the best of them all and were practically at the same level in talent and expertise if I remember correctly.I'm wondering, depending on how this film does, could we be seeing a passing of the 'Black Widow torch' here?
I think I've read that they're all considered Black Widows, but I'm wondering if the Florence Pugh character could be taking over the role and assuming the mantle in the MCU?
I think it is a strong possibility. It is rolling up to the 60th anniversary of Sean Connery debuting as Bond in Dr. No.And I seriously hope they don't attempt to continue the Bond franchise with a woman in the title role. Hasn't Hollywood lost enough money and learned their lesson?

Only Connery and six others have played the title role for nearly six decades--all male. Hollywood is likely gambling the market for its Bond franchise will strongly latch on to a female agent change in a similar way as Captain Marvel or Rey for example.
I think they are correct in their assumption in the short term and initial box office will support the shake up of the character. What happens down the road is the real question for me.
The franchise's fuel has been sequels that eventually began re-inventing themselves with Casino Royale and Craig. Will the new actress get slotted in the old but re-imagined material? Or will they introduce totally new material? I think they must do the latter for making and keeping the new angle as fresh as possible for greatest success. In my opinion, re-casting for existing material will grow old quick on the audience following the franchise.
My initial impression is... mixed. However, I LOVE the added red and blue in her uniform--which only makes me wonder what will be the explanation for why they were absent in movies later in the timeline.
Looks a lot better than the last one!
I'm sure they will, but the cameos may be so small they feel it would ruin the surprise... especially if someone from the original shows up at the end to help save the day. That's a pretty low bar.
They've certainly taken things in a different direction and location for sure. I was surprised that they didn't feature a single cameo from the originals.

It felt to me like Ghostbusters meets the Goonies, with a little bit of Speilberg's ET thrown in for good measure. I anticipated some sort of a passing of the torch in the film, but it looks much more overt than that.
Yeah, it could be that the trailer just focuses on some parts of the movie and there's more to it though. They do that sometimes. So there's still hope that the originals will have more of a role in it. Then again, maybe the plan was for them to have a bigger role and Murray said no.
I'm curious about the setup. Paul Rudd's character seems to be the go-between for the past and the present. He's giving the kids the history lesson about the Ghostbusters and I have to think will be a bit of a bridge between the kids and the originals as well.
