I saw that it had great reviews at some Film Festival last week so I was disappointed to see it doesn't come out until December on Netflix.

Yeah, I thought the last one was kind of meh. To be fair, I watched it in the theater in one of those 4Dx seats......you know, the ones that shake you around and throw in a bunch of gimmicks. With how long Avatar movies are, that was just way too much. By the end, I was ready to get off that stupid chair. Anytime there was a quiet scene where the seat wasn’t tossing me around, I just wanted it to stay that way for the rest of the movie. lol

So I do wonder if the theater experience ruined it for me, but honestly, I never cared enough to go back and rewatch it at home.

Looks better than the last one.

For me they all look the same. To me, Avatar is a special effects showcase, not a quality film series.

Keep in mind that Cameron got his start in that area and I feel it’s always where he has excelled.

And the second film had nothing original to say. It was literally a repeat of the first film.

I’m not optimistic that part three will offer anything new or different, save perhaps for a new special effect.

I'm near the end of the book and it's so good. This movie is going to be EPIC. This and Odyssey are my most anticipated movies, even more than Avengers, Spider-Man, Dune or Avatar.

Sounds like the conundrum. Start off by pulling for one but maybe later pulling for the other. Both changing positions with the change in the power dynamic.
