I've already seen enough from Moore to want him back next year competing for the backup position with a veteran. It's the same gut feeling I had with Romo early in his career. I was laughed at back then and I'm sure many will laugh at me know but I think the FO did outstanding bringing him in for a look and think he will eventually become the starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys. He's got the Moxie.

I drank some Moxie once. It is the single worst beverage known to man.

I like him but reality is this. One, he is small. That's something elite, Drew Brees-like talent overcomes. Tall order to overcome that. Second, and likely more problematic, he's a lefty. This league has seem very little success from lefty QBs. People will immediately bring to mind Steve Young to refute that. Now come up with another from the last 20 years. Mike Vick?

About 10% of people are left-handed. Every year 40+ guys start an NFL game at QB. How many are southpaws? Hint: often zero.

Offenses are complex and require precise throwing lanes. It is all written for right handers. You can't just make everyone flip sides and run it the other way.

Love the moxie, but hard to succeed with these two limitations

Boomer Esiason
Ken Stabler
Steve Young
Michael Vick
Lefty Frizzel

Don't forget about Mark Brunell.

Being a lefty QB isn't really a handicap in the NFL, imo. The few number of lefty QBs is more of a reflection of the fact that the majority of the population is right handed. I'm also going to go out on a limb and say that college coaches may be prejudiced and may opt to play a right handed QB and suggest a position change for the left handed QB. I have no actual data to prove this, but I'm certain there are biases/prejudices in sports that could lead a coach to take such actions.

JMO.

?started drinking early today

You guys realize he is 6ft. He is 2 inches shorter than Romo. Writing a qb off for being short is dumb. I'd rather have an accurate, smart qb then a tall dumb one.

I will give AmberBeer credit for always being positive.

Ok, Amberbach, I see your point and acknowledge that he has something, but I don't think it's enough to offset his slow feet and non-NFL arm.

But another smallish QB comes to mind who has no other obstacles besides his head, which is planted firmly in his rectum, and that is Johnny FB. If Moore has a spark, it's only 6 volts. JFB can supply 12 volt energy off the bench, and maybe we'll hear a giant pop, the sound of his head coming out.

If Moore deserves a chance, so does JFB; maybe he'll find Budda, inner peace, and total enlightenment.

Might as well have fun with this offseason. :)
