Will be known in urban legends as the Moxie Virus.
uh-oh, could be the precursor to the zombie apocalypse!!!

I don't think anyone's really looking at him as a starter, but more of a viable backup.

I like him but reality is this. One, he is small. That's something elite, Drew Brees-like talent overcomes. Tall order to overcome that. Second, and likely more problematic, he's a lefty. This league has seem very little success from lefty QBs. People will immediately bring to mind Steve Young to refute that. Now come up with another from the last 20 years. Mike Vick?
About 10% of people are left-handed. Every year 40+ guys start an NFL game at QB. How many are southpaws? Hint: often zero.
Offenses are complex and require precise throwing lanes. It is all written for right handers. You can't just make everyone flip sides and run it the other way.
Love the moxie, but hard to succeed with these two limitations
lol This. People are really seeing what they want to see in him right now, IMO. It's getting absurd.

I'll wait for two more games to state anything like the OP...but, I have also said that he looked WAY different in there compared to Weeden and Cassel...he made rookie mistakes, so I wasn't throwing everything at the TV...but, he made me think that they had a chance on any drive when he was in the game...I never felt that way with weeden or cassel...he deserves these two games to see if he can stick with the team (I am hoping that he can)...that in NO WAY should prohibit the team from drafting a QB in the spring
Note: if Weeden, who is starting today for Houston, has a good game and a win, is that an indictment against our coaching staff? more to come....
Oh the interesting things auto-correct reveals.

It got so, that every time Weeden or Cassel dropped back to pass. I expected bad things to happen. I didn't have that with Moore. But also knowing we were not going to win the division, it didn't matter if something bad happened, as I wanted to see his overall performance. Now if something more was on the line, then I may have felt different.
He showed enough to start the last 2 games. I just hope that if he does well, the team doesn't fool themselves into thinking they don't need to draft a QB.
Because they do need to draft one regardless.
When Romo arrived nobody gave him much thought. I told these people at the time that he was one of Mel's top sleepers. Maybe he'd be a good backup some day. But certainly not what he turned out to be.
All I'm saying is expectation doesn't definitively decide your pro career.
I do think there's something to his game that might allow him to have a long pro career as a backup/spot starter. But I thought the same of Romo. Could it happen again here? I highly doubt it but it certainly will happen somewhere.
I drank some Moxie once. It is the single worst beverage known to man.
Interesting theory. I've never thought about the reasons why we may not see many lefties. Seems to make a lot of sense and a possible reason why. I guess we'll find out if Moore can break this pattern.
I've already seen enough from Moore to want him back next year competing for the backup position with a veteran. It's the same gut feeling I had with Romo early in his career. I was laughed at back then and I'm sure many will laugh at me know but I think the FO did outstanding bringing him in for a look and think he will eventually become the starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys. He's got the Moxie.
I think his ceiling as like one of the Detmers. Smart heady type that can function in short bursts, but that is about it.
