The Murray Mistake

What are you talking about?

Getting rid of Murray wasn’t a mistake.

Who they replaced him with was the mistake.

Pollard is a way better player than Zeke.
Duh.
Pollard isn’t the overall back Zeke was and isn’t the back Zeke was his first few seasons. He’s a more explosive back but not the overall player. If Pollard was as good as you think fans wouldn’t be screaming for Derrick Henry.

Can someone explain to me how Jerry made an almost identical mistake now w/ Polly? Seriously, how do you simply not learn?
What mistake? They let Murray sign elsewhere and signed Pollard on the franchise tag.

This is about Zeke.

Henry is about the ability to impose his will.

It’s more about Dak being awful in big games than Pollard really.

Tony Pollard has never been overall better than Zeke when Zeke was at his best. Pollard isn’t an every down back who should be paving the way at the start of games. He hasn’t rushed for more than 80 yards in any game all season. He’s a good back but a complementary back.

Dowdle is PS fodder
Insufficient data for that assessment.

Dowdle strikes me as hungrier than Pollard, and appears to run harder. Tony shines when he can get carries after the D-line has already been softened a bit. I'd flip their usage the other way 'round.

The issue with Dallas in the year after Murray left wasn't the fact we didn't have Murray.

It was that we didn't have a QB. Even with a backup QB, we were top in rushing with Darren McFadden leading the way.

Disagree.

A one year franchise tag after Zeke was seen as done, was the appropriate move.

It’s not like we have him a four year deal.

Zeke hasn’t been his best in 3 years.

Nobody is comparing Prime Zeke with Pollard ya donut.

Context matters, none of these rbs will have a great average if they are killing clock.

When it counts he's ran well more often than not. I'd just like to see him get some more quality touches before deciding he sucks.
This is exactly why people thought Emmitt's average was nothing special.

Well Pollard is not looking like all that
Though it is more due to the O line; but still has not shown much

Polard shouldn’t be starting at RB but we’re stuck. Him and Rico Dowdle are very similar. We need a road grader leading the way.

You continue to watch this game and appear to not understand the situation. The offensive line cannot open holes in the middle of the line of scrimmage. That applies to both Zeke and Pollard.

Pollard is a change of pace back and not a featured back. He has to get into a space and then either juke, dance, or use his speed to get yardage.

Fix the line and you may get a better yard per carry out of Pollard. But he is too light to be a every down back, and sure can't move a pile like Zeke could.
I guess I don't understand your penchant for not looking past a prejudice you have about specific players, and see what the reality of football is.

Now normally I wouldn't toss this out there. But incase you ask, you also thought Parsons was not the pick. So this isn't just a Zeke issue. I agree he had to go but anyone with eyes should have seen Pollard has a specific role, and that is the change of pace. Even that nitwit color man that I can hardly stomach said this today.
