Bill's commandment's left for Romo should have started, and ended, with "Don't be a celebrity QB". Give Bill credit, he hit it on the head when he included that admonition to Romo.
 
Oh lord you people are crazy. Tony is allowed to have a life and date whomever he wishes. I really hope he didn't dump her over football. Fans have unrealistic expecetations.
 
I think his problems had more to do w/ his thumb.

Listen, I have no problem with any woman he is "with". The celebrity QB stuff is where the perception turns bad for the fans. Which is more important to him? Being Tony Romo the QB of America's Team, or Tony Romo the celebrity? I think the kid realises the issue is there, percieved or not, and is addressing it. When he starts contempleting which is more important, moving to LA for JS or staying in Dallas to be with his team, I think it is readily apparent which he considers more important. I don't think celebacy is the answer for him, but if he is going to do the celebrity thing, then he needs to do it in the offseason, not when the PO's are on the line with a chance at the SB.

Dallas Cowboys star Tony Romo has reportedly dumped Jessica Simpson, who was widely blamed for costing him a shot at the Super Bowl.
"Tony is now starting to blame her himself," a pal told OK! magazine. "Before dating Jessica, he was Texas' golden boy. Now he's become a joke."


A few days after the Giants bounced the Cowboys from the playoffs, Romo called the "Dukes of Hazzard" star to tell her their romance was over.
"He said he thought it was better if they went back to being friends," a pal of hers said.


A final breaking point came when Romo told Simpson he wouldn't move to L.A. - and she responded there was no way she could leave Tinseltown.

Just when it seemed like Jessica Simpson and her quarterback hunk Tony Romo might not go the distance, the two were spotted cavorting together on a seemingly romantic hunting trip over the weekend in Texas.

But now OK! has learned all might not be well just yet as insiders say the trip was a last-ditch effort to save their relationship.

On Jan. 17, Tony called Jessica at her L.A. home to try to break things off. "He said he thought it was better if they went back to being friends," a pal of the singer tells OK!. "'Just friends' is not in Jessica's vocabulary, and she is not a victim. She knows how bad this will look in the media."

But according to the pal, Jessica refused to give up, and so Tony invited her on what he thought would be the worst date of her life: a hunting trip! "It's Tony's way of punishing Jess," laughs her friend. "Jessica Simpson hunting — and without her entourage? Forget it!"

Only time will tell if these two will make it. But according to an insider,"Tony has finally started to realize how high-maintenance Jessica is," says her friend. "We're talking diva status. She comes with an entourage, and that includes her dad, Joe Simpson. What's not to love?"

I could see him not liking that kind of attention any time he goes to take a dump, but no one can be blamed for the Cowboys loss, but the guys wearing the uniforms.
