I’ve never played Madden.

I never said we’re going to beat every team, but championship teams don’t lose to multiple bad teams every year. They don’t cough up double digit leads to bad teams and lose in OT to them. Championship teams find ways to win games, not ways to blow games. There’s a reason the Cowboys have been coming up short the past 28 years. We’ve wasted enough time with this.If you think you’re gonna beat every team you’re better than good luck.
And nobody thinks the 2022 Jaguars were bad, you’re just conveniently sliding that in as if they didn’t win a playoff game and give the Chiefs a run in the divisional. They were a good team who started slow.
We lost 2 games to teams who were “bad”. This teams record against losing teams is great. You’re concerned about something that hasn’t been an issue.
In fact, one could argue all our success against worse teams inflates our thoughts about the team. You could furthermore say that this dominance over bad teams doesn’t give us the test needed to beat elite teams.
So you keep worrying about the teams we always beat, that’s fine by me I don’t lose any sleep. I’ll be with the folks worrying about actually good teams. No, two losses to below average teams is not going to make me feel any differently.
Good for you...respectI’ve never played Madden.
A lot of fans have never witnessed a championship team with the Cowboys. The last time the Cowboys won a Super Bowl many of them were toddlers or weren’t even born yet. I’ve witnessed all five of the Cowboys championship teams and those teams didn’t lay down for anyone or play down to their competition.I think a lot of fans have forgotten what a championship team looks like. No way was last year a championship team. You could tell it was starting to unravel after Thanksgiving. This team always comes up short when the expectation rises. The Cowboys shouldn't overlook anybody.
His accuracy could go from good (2022) to great. He CAN get better. He CAN get much better. He can also get worse. But nobody can say he's reached his ceiling yet... if ur being objective... there's just no way to know until he has 2 seasons back to back where he levels off.Nah. Hurts is a great QB, there's really not much to improve on.
Any statistical improvement would require a massive fundamental change to how they run their offense.
We lost to 1 bad team and it was a stinker.I never said we’re going to beat every team, but championship teams don’t lose to multiple bad teams every year. The Packers were a bad team last year. They had lost six straight games when we played them. They lost two more in a row after they beat us.We lost to 1 bad team and it was a stinker.
Stop trying to act like teams that went to the playoffs or were in it until week 18 are bad. Those are average to good teams. This is a league of parity, the line between good and average is marginal.
We didn’t lose to the Cardinals twice. Calm down.
And you’ve got to learn, hence firing your OC who could’ve run out both games but decided against it.Losing to those below average teams cost us the division. Maybe if we win the division we don't play the 49ers.
How were they bad but 1 win away from the playoffs and in it until week 18?The Packers were a bad team last year.
When you lose seven of eight games, you’re a bad team. Green Bay was not a good team, especially when we played them. They finished one game under 500, that’s a bad team in my book. Even Jimmy Johnson called them a bad team. How were they bad but 1 win away from the playoffs and in it until week 18?
There’s not just two descriptions of teams man. It’s not good or bad. There’s a lot in between. The Cardinals were bad. The Texans were bad. The Packers weren’t bad, they were average.
With Cooper Rush and a TD with 8 seconds left. Kinda funny to add context by leaving out contextYou simply can’t bank on that every season. It would be a mistake. By the way, we didn’t curb stomp them, we won both games by one score.
If you think Green Bay and the Cardinals were on the same level then hey, be happy brother. When you lose seven of eight games, you’re a bad team. The 93 and 95 Cowboys went on to win the Super Bowl, so it doesn’t matter who they lost to during the regular season. They started playing their best football when it mattered most. Not every loss is because you overlooked an opponent or played down to them. The loss to Miami on Thanksgiving in 93 was because of a stupid mistake by Leon Lett. That was the last loss the Cowboys suffered that season. They didn’t allow any of those losses to hurt their confidence and derail their season. Those were mentally and physically tough teams. This is revisionist history my friend. The '95 Cowboys were swept by the Ratscums. A team that only won 4 other games all season. The '93 team lost to the 6-10 Falcons and the 9-7 Dolphins. As great as those teams were they were also susceptible to looking past an opponent and playing down to their level.

Every team, even the great ones are going to have a let down game or one where they don’t play well, but the problem with the Cowboys the past three decades is they have games where they simply don’t show up against bad teams stuck with average QBs and it happens more than once every damn season. It happens in primetime games. The Cowboys great teams didn’t have games where they routinely played down to their competition, resulting in embarrassing losses to bad teams. Just look at some of the QBs the Cowboys have lost to in the past decade. Josh McCown, Matt Flynn, Mitch Trubisky, Colt McCoy, Teddy Bridgewater, Marcus Mariota and a rookie Sam Howell making his first NFL start in 2022.I agree those were championship caliber teams. Even the '94 team was a championship level team. My point was that even those great teams had letdown days too. But had the physical and mental toughness to put it behind them when it mattered most. It's that mental and physical toughness that has been missing from this team since those days. I don't know if this bunch will develop that. I really don't. I do see signs of it from the defense. Tank, Micah, Gilmore, Kearse and Hankins are all leaders who I consider to be both physically AND mentally tough as nails. Will that be enough? Let's hope so. I think Dak is as mentally tough as a human being can be. But his body has let him down a few times. Same goes for Tyron. Maybe double for him. I also think Zack is both physically and mentally tough. But frankly I cannot honestly say yay or nay on anybody else on the offense. But hopefully without Mr. Mountain West the offense can be humming come playoff time too instead of teams being able to use 17 weeks of film to predict our every move. Time will tell.

The Cowboys were favored in all those games. Gardner Minshew did a number on them and we barely hung on in that game. The Cowboys routinely embarrass themselves and their fan base every season against some bad to average teams and QBs. It’s the main reason they never can get over the hump. To get totally embarrassed by Washington and Sam Howell in the season finale, then destroy Tampa and Tom Brady the following week, is proof positive the Cowboys don’t show up to play every week. You don’t know what you’re going to get from the Cowboys each week. That was never the case with their championship teams.
By the way, I left out Sam Darnold as one of the dud QBs that destroyed us. The Jets were 0-5 and Darnold was just returning to the lineup after being away sick for three weeks. He ended up having a career day against us. Baker Mayfield was another bust who had a terrific day against us in 2020. A couple of TDs and a 100.0 passer rating.I blame McCarthy for the Washington debacle last year. As soon as he said he was going to pull the starters at some point it became a preseason game. Even if he was thinking it he never should have said it aloud. And if he was going to pull them he probably should never have let them suit up in the first place. That team played that game like it was preseason.
The Eagles also lost 7 starters from last year. These losses will weaken the Eagles!I agree, I think the Eagles have a super loss letdown and a 1st place schedule to play through. Also I think last year was Hurtz best season, ala RG3 or Wrecks Grossman. I think he’s going to be more of a one year wonder than a long term stud. Especially with signing the massive deal and that taking away from his supporting cast.
