The NFCE will be won week 17

I will say this, that could be a very tough game to win. If everything goes as it should, we'll be 2 games up with a 5-game winning streak while the Giants are on a 4-game losing streak with their backs against the wall. On primetime. Hard to believe the Giants won't give it everything they've got in that situation.

Considering that the division title may very well be ours if we win that game (provided the Eagles screw up one last time), I have a hard time believing that the Cowboys won't give it everything they've got. But I do understand where you're coming from, you can't manufacture desperation and the Giants would certainly be more desperate in that scenario.

They're on the ropes and reeling. Green Bay can give them a flurry of hits to the abdomen, and we'll bring in the finishing upper cut.

Tuck said in an interview yesterday that they are already thinking about how they've fallen apart at the end of the last two seasons. Specifically he mentioned, "It's impossible to not think about it."

That team is ready to pack it in as soon as the first few things go against them just like the end of 2008 when they quit in back to back games.

I'm with you. The Giants HAD to understand just how important last week's game against the Saints was, knowing that the undefeated Packers were coming to town the following week. But they still got run over. There is no way, no way, the Giants can come together, rise up, and beat the Packers, who are on a mission to do what no one else has ever done, go 19-0 and win the SB. Yes, they will be desperate against us, but that desperation will not be enough to overcome the hopelessness they feel when looking at the road ahead of them. So I believe saltwater is right, if we start off fast against that team, they will fold fairly quickly.

If we take care of business against the Cards and I believe we will, then things could set up real nice for us the rest of the way.........

NYG will probably be 6-6 and on a 4 game losing streak. Now it won't be over for them, they won't be eliminated from the playoffs. But they will be in a serious downward spiral.

TB will in all likelyhood be 5-8 and eliminated from the playoffs the week prior. Very good deal IMO playing a team just eliminated.

Phila is where it gets interesting. They could be 7-7 given the schedule they play, just as likely they're 6-8. What we're hoping for here is that they to get eliminated the week before we play them. Most often you have that one week let down after elimination and we may just catch that. BTW If they are 7-7, I think their is a real good chance that between the Lions, Falcons and Bears, they done as a wildcard. So if we do have 10 wins, they'd be out all together.

NYG i can't see how they're not eliminated by now, provided we beat them in week 14.

We have a few other factors working in our favor to both help us and motivate us to finish strong........

The #3 seed and the #2 seed. As I see it, it's important to finish strong with something to play for through to week 17 without that something being a post season spot.
It allows you to stay on your game yet still sit the boderline injured guys who really need a week off.

If we keep winning, we will have a shot or an outright chance to take the #3 seed up to week 17. The benefit of this is huge. A possible division round trip to SF where we've already won and a possible NFC Championship matchup against a not so rested GB team. OR just maybe a home game against the Saints.

And if we do pull off 12-4, I think the chances of tiebreaking against a 12-4 Niners for the #2 seed are real.

I don't buy this. If the "backs against the wall" theory mattered for this Giants team, they wouldnt have gotten blown out by New Orleans on Monday. If your scenario comes to fruition, they will have also lost to GB with their backs against the wall. Why should we assume it will all of sudden click for them when they play us?

Not to mention that in this scenario the Giants are two games back, not just one. Even if they beat us, they know they have to win out to get the division or hope we manage to lose a game against two non-playoff teams. That is a huge mental weight.

I agree.

I respect the Giants because they can rush the passer and Eli is more than capable to put up points with his weapons.

But I don't sweat them coming to Arlington on a 4 games losing streak. Just a lot of baggage, distractions, stress and pressure.

Did you hear some of the questions the NY media was slamming Coughlin with. I have to give him credit for not losing it.

Not here saying I told you so..beause it hasnt even come to fruition yet..truth be told, I expected it to get tough, and even I am starting to waver on us winning this division...

HOWEVER, I am standing by my ORIGINAL prediction..we will win this division in unthinkable fashion..week 17, winner takes all, ON THE ROAD

What makes you think we can win that final game?

cmon guys! no way we beat NYG in the Meadowlands. just no way. their always prepared to kick our ***, and we always come up short in the big one. we might not even be playing for anything by then, the way we been playing, i wouldnt be surpised TB beats us.

Im still real hurt by last nights loss, ive lost all faith on this defense to accomplish anything.

we are DONE. mark my words.

Probably being a hair away from winning the last one, with several blown opportunities along the way.

We can easily win in NY. I'm more worried about beating PHI at home, honestly.
