like the NFL cares about your issues. They are the most powerful business on TV.
They don't and I don't care that they don't. Outside of Cowboys games, I don't watch much of anything else labeled as NFL. I'd rather watch college ball. I am more excited about my home state girl, Caitlyn Clark playing ball this year

isnt worth paying for but damn sure worth watching, right??lol
You skipped over the part about doing without if there are no other options. That equals money lost because the advertisers are getting less eyes on the advertisements. I trade my eyes on these advertisements for the shows and that is the limit of the worth of the NFL and these other shows.

It's rather simple to understand.

I don’t mind paying for Sunday ticket. Yeah it’s a bit expensive. But I get full on entertainment all day, every Sunday for 18 weeks with it.

Personally I think it’s worth it.

I do think it’s kind of odd that the NFL still follows the format of using local broadcasts for a large number of their games.

Would it be great if every game was nationally broadcast via cable channels? Absolutely.

But overall it’s really not that bad. I mean let’s be real folks. Even without Sunday ticket. You can get multiple games per week for free via antenna if you want.

you guys are no different than those people running into stores as a flash mob and ransacking the place. But I bet you sit on your couch blasting those people that run into those stores and steal products
I hope you never have clicked on one of these Twitter GIFs showing plays.

I am old enough to remember all I had to do was turn on the TV to CBS, ABC, NBC, or Fox and watch games for free over the air. All it cost was the electricity to run the TV.

Now you need to pay to see Monday Night games if you don't have ESPN. You have to pay to watch the Thursday night Amazon package.

The NFL is only getting greedier and greedier. Maybe let all the fans watch the product and they won't have to resort to online streams????

In urban areas, where multiple broadcast signals are strongest? Yes. That is not the case in rural areas, which a significant portion of television viewers are situated.

True. But even then they get a bunch of games with even the most basic of cable packages.

Well, I am old enough to remember Sunday early and late games only. And FOX did not exist. :muttley:

My family was lucky. My father installed one of those tall mast antennas. It towered over our one-story home. The local CBS affiliate broadcast would come true clear with simple rabbit ears where we stayed. NBC or ABC? ABC usually but a decent storm messed with reception. NBC would only come through on perfect weather days.

Even though standalone technology has improved over the decades and network affiliates have boosted their signals, there are a significant number of rural residents who face the same reception challenges. That should not be the case in the 21st century in my opinion.

Must be nice getting paid $40+ million a year, free first-class lodging, flights and seats in owners' boxes to watch games in person, while not offering your employers' customer base more affordable viewing options but aggressively going after ones that are.
Nice post.

They dont lose 28 billion a year either, that is a ridiculous figure.
Probably more like 1 mil a year.
Most that watch a illegal stream are not going to pay for it if that stream is gone.

honestly watching hockey made me realize how much i hate watching nfl games now.
3yd play, 5 minutes commercials, half a drive 5 min commercials, commercials before kickoff - commercials afterkick off.
Meanwhile hockey you get basically a barely interrupted 20min session with a 15 min break. To think ill pay for extra games to have half my time sitting through commercials is a no for me, meanwhile itll be a pirates life for me.
