no, wrong. subsequent to that....you are taking one game and extraploating it over 6 and generalizing as you have a tendency to do.Sigh…..Again, context. The single biggest reason why they were the 20th ranked offense was Dak. He scored 3 points in the opener. Cooper (the crappy backup) averaged 21.5 across his 5 games. Why do people say “When Dak came back…” when he was literally the main reason the offense was low ranked in the first place?
Im not here to change anyone’s opinion, but this argument is exactly what annoys me. If you decide you like a player, they will always get the benefit of the doubt. People glaze over the opener like it didn’t happen or provide excuses.
If the Cowboys win the SB with Dak I will be stoked, but I will still evaluate each player based on individual performance. A win doesn’t mean everyone played well. A loss doesn’t mean they played poorly (last years Bucs opener Dak did great).
All I said is Dak is played a lackluster game yesterday (micro concern) which continues to show that he is inconsistent (macro concern) because he is capable of playing really really well. That inconsistency will matter in the playoffs
with Rush, we scored 20,23,25,22,17 for an average of 21.4 which puts the team at 20th. take away the defensive score and that puts the team at 24th offensively. (btw, I would do the same to the offense when Dak played and any defensive scores as a result get deducted).
so the offense was crappy scoring wise.....like I said 20 something.
the offense average 312 YPG, that would put them 28th in the league....
we averages 183 yards passing per game and that would put us 27th in the league
our average yard rushing per game increase since the 5 games. the RB average yards per carry increased since the rush 5 games.
so your facts are not facts, but assumptions and perceptions. all the data is out there for you to validate your assumptions and not rely on your eye test.
and yes, Dak had a horrible game against Tampa. God forbid a QB or any top 10 QB to ever have a bad game, because we know that never ever never happens. right? and again you took one game and generaized. could that one game have been an outlier? but that thought can't even cross your mind, given you are solely focused on trying to prove the way you see things, reality be damned.
and I am not disagreeing with your assessment of Dak yesterday. He played within the system. made enough plays. had a few bad plays and in the end helped team to a victory. he played his part. that's all we can ask. not every game is going to be like Vikings game. but that's most people's expectations and some even diminished him for the vikings game.
