The offensive line was killed. What's your suggestion?

We can't draft anyone to immediately fix this. Free can man either tackle spot in my opinion. What about the other spots? Davis is a lock and so is Gurode. The odd men out are Kosier, Flo, and Colombo. I don't see Jerry signing another big name. I hope Brewster is the next Larry Allen. This is a dilemma.

why not? teams do it all the time

Iupati or stud tackle for starters in the draft.

I wouldn't mind starting Doug Free in place of one of the tackles. Flo is good, but Free doesn't have those penalties.

Romo needs to roll out and run when its there.

Thats a good start.

We make it too easy for defenses. Strahan said it, "we want to keep in the pocket and attack it".

Weird how Columbo was the "man" when he broke his leg....and then he just looked so bad yesterday.

I'd have to see who is available out there. I really think getting the o-line fixed and we'd be MUCH better.

that's what I have been arguing on some of the other boards. its not as bad as it seems. I think Flo is got to go....Free can take over the LT spot. I am OK with Davis and Kosier for now, but Groude and COlumbo need upgraded. I love columbo. I like how fiesty he is, but its time to go.

we could trade up a bit and get a Tackle in the draft. Often they come in and have a little success as rookies. I also think drafting a center in the second round and have him take over mid year and groude to back up. centers also find a little success first year.

this line needs to get a little more athletic. Davis despite his size is athletic. so is Kosier who I think was our best OL men all year.

for what ever reason, this OL struggled all year. they should have been more dominant. being able to exert their will, yet they couldn't

and as you said, we also have to think long term. we need to drafdt OL men and hit on them. not having drafted well on the OL over the past few years has come to bite us in the arse

Best case scenario is this:

Brewster replaces Kosier as a solid starter
Gurode and Bigg come back as starters
Colombo retires or gets released and Free takes his position at RT
Flozell comes back but we draft his replacement in the 1st round

Do we need to upgrade the o-line? Yes! Do we need to blow it up? Heck no.

Could it be that our o-line this past weekend faced fresh legged guys across from them that pretty much had two weeks to game-plan against them? I'd say they did.

Plus, Flo hasn't been bad at all with penalties this year that I have seen. That's just an over-used excuse now that quite frankly wasn't true this year.

:laugh2:

Justin Tuck might disagree with you.

The OL didn't exactly have a stellar game. But romo helped them with that some.

Let's be honest tho. Colombo came back from a bottom foot injury. He's abused the likes of Justin tuck and umenyori. He's fine just maybe should have hung it up for the year or he shouldve been insurance.

Leonard Davis, Andre gurode, flozell Adams, and Doug free is the future Left tackle.

IMO kosier is the problem. He got abused this year unlike yes past. Pat Williams destoryed him lastnight.

What I'm getting at is...the patriots are going to let a guy named Logan mankins walk in FA. Problem solved

I think it's funny how last year most of us said how Kosier was the "missing link" and the OL wasn't the same without him. Now he's the problem lol. I think the Cowboys are hoping Brewster will eventually overtake Kosier. Dallas needs to draft the best available tackle in the 1st round, and have Free play the other tackle spot.

Dallas needs to draft the best available tackle and guard and maybe even center. I think the only Olineman whose job should be safe is Davis. Dallas needs a mauler like Ipauti to take Kosier's place and another tackle to take over for Adams. Even if Free can man a starting spot, the other tackle spot needs a competition.

colombo still has alot of football in him. remember the guy was out almost 3 yrs. colombo will be playing rt for atleast another 4 yrs in dallas.

I'm gonna respectfully disagree. IMO Colombo is done in Dallas. We need to get younger on the OL.

Colombo has an injury history and you have to see what you have in Free.If anything you have to let Free challenge Columbo for the job at RT next season. You have to get younger at the position if you have a chance to do so.Same thing goes for Kosier at LG,I hope to see Brewster get a shot at Kosiers spot on the line.
