it’s still early but what could possibly be the benefit of dragging ur feet here if u are jerry? simple fact is the longer u wait the less candidates there will be plus it just looks bad...plus it’s not really great for garrett either if u have no real intent on giving him a new contract if he does want to get another hc position next season when all the other teams are moving fast.

...unless he’s thinking of bringing him back?

Garrett is not getting fired! He's just not going to be resigned. Those waiting for a "Garretts fired" tweet are gonna be waiting a loooooong time.

That's why you can't really be a fan anymore. Jerry can resign Garrett and people will continue to follow and spend as if nothing happened, so under these circumstances why would Jerry care that people don't like him or the HC. The numbers say everything is going very well and thats all he needs to care about. If those numbers dip then he will fire Garrett early, but for now there is no need to do that.
