Yeah - but in Garrett's defense, he's been around this team for close to 13 years and is extremely close to some of these players and staffers. It could be Jerry's way of playing damage control with any millionaires on this team who could potentially be "disrespected" by his unceremonious firing.I just dont know it what capacity Garrett could work in the front office.
Jerry is the GM, Will McClay is Personnel, maybe something with scouting? Isnt that kinda a major step down, to go from head coach to being a scout? Even head of scouting seems like a pretty significant demotion.
This whole thing just doesn't make sense, you dont see other teams being run like this. Cleveland and the Giants said "goodbye, I will call you an uber if you need one" and that's that. But no, Jerry has to act like his high school sweetheart is breaking up with him and he is begging for another chance. Just pathetic.
Either way, it's still bizarre, and not a good way to conduct business. Name any other billionaire in the world who operates with his feelings.
