The official hang Bledsoe thread

This is how the rest of the season should go down.

1. Bench Bledsoe. Should not see the field ever again, unless Romo has his right arm amputated. I would say leg, but I am confident Romo could move around better on one leg than Bledsoe.

2. Start Romo the next 15 games.

3. At end of year determine if Romo is it or not. If he is, then Dallas probably had a good year and life is good. If he is not, Dallas should be in position to draft the future.

yeah bledsoe sucked today...i still i understand why parcells wont pull him i mean from what ive heard on the radio he was shaken up...i try to be rational but i was yelling put in romo...but again 1 game ...trying to not knee jerk :laugh2:

it was one game, and as bad as we/he played, we still had a chance at the end, even though a slim one, against a tough team on the road.

let's all calm down.

Drew is a decent QB. But he simply is not good enough.

Now it's not all his fault- our "dominant D" was pushed around pretty good today- tough game on the road, etc. And it's not the end of the world... nor the end of the season.

But I do think you gotta make the switch now. Drew's not going to get you where u need to be. Romo has to play.... you might take a bump or two early in the season, but he will mature into the position and be ready by game 5 to command the team.

I also think his mobility will free up TO and Glenn even more and get them out in space where they can do more damage.

i bet that plenty of people here would be happy to take your money on that wish.:lmao2:
So you're suggesting we can't be 4-2 or 5-1 with Bledsoe as QB?

How do we arrange a bet?

Hey I know a backup QB behind Bledsoe that did alright. The guy went on to win 3 Super Bowls and be one of the best QBs ever. How does that work for your argument?

Good point. :laugh2:

But don't forget that it took Drew nearly getting killed to get Brady his shot. And then the whole "you can't lose your job due to injury" thing that started a huge QB controversy.

Head coaches are a stubborn bunch. This is just week one and Drew will certainly be your starting QB for at least a few weeks.

On a side note, half of the fans in Denver are screaming for Jay Cutler to replace Jake Plummer next week.... It's so similar that I have to pay attention to which board I'm posting on. :)

I hope the Bledsoe bashers on this thread and others have the nuts to come back after week six when we are 4-2 or 5-1 with Bledsoe still QBing and admit you were writing him off after week 1.

4 completions in the second half alone were called backu because of penalties.
Crappy field position and unimaginative play calling (and an uninspired D) had a helluva a lot to do with it too.

You can bet I'll be here just like I have been from day 1 of the Drew Bledsoe era. ;)

Bledsoe is on cowboys.com right now saying that "we" messed up today. Yes "we" did, especially "you" Drew.

Bledsoe Interview Recap:

We couldn't get out of our own way.

In the 3rd series we had a penalty. Penalties kept getting in our way. We're going to be sick tomorrow about all the opportunities that we had. At the end of the first half it looks like we're going to be 1st and 10 and we blow it on a penalty. Very frustrating. It felt like a game we could have won, but against the Jaguars, if you make mistakes, they're going to take advantage.

4th Quarter you were stretching? 100%?
I'm alright.

Deep ball to Terry?
We were trying to get that called earlier in the game. We felt it would work. Any time you get one on one coverage with Terry or Terrell it's a good thing.

What's the mindset of the game?
There was never a sense that the game was out of hand, but there was some frustation with all the opportunities we had. Right now we're faced with a situation that we have to bounce back.

Is a tough loss early easier to put aside?
It's always hard to deal with a loss, but you go to work and try to correct the problems and go forward. Both SB teams I've been on lost the first two games of the season. (theogt: and one of those you were replaced on).

He's never accepted blame for anything in his life.

Backup QB is always the most popular guy in town.

Difference is...Romo just isn't the backup...He's supposed to be the Future.

Lets see the future now.

Change at quarterback?

Give me an opportunity to look at the tape and we'll see what we do. I'll have an answer for you tomorrow.

My name is Sitting Bull and I'm a Bledsoe backer...

It's been two years since my last derogatory remark about Bledsoe and this is my first post in a "hang Bledsoe" thread...*sigh*

I just can't keep doing this to myself and my family. I try to focus on the arm, the leadership, the stats. But I'm living a lie. Bledose is bad for my long-term health and I know I have to change...

I hit rock-bottom today, right after the last interception, when I flipped to the Cards/Niners game and caught myself daydreaming about the youth, mobility and pocket presence of Alex Smith- Alex Smith- who played five times better than Bledsoe even in a loss.

I used to think that Romo would kill us with mistakes if he were to be thrown into the fire. But now I realize that he couldn't possibly cough-up more untimely turnovers than Bledsoe, and his mobility and moxie would actually give us a better chance to win. The playcalling sucked, Glenn was invisible and our defense couldn't pressure anyone in the second half. But those are just excuses to mask the real problem. I know it will be hard to quit. Fortunately, I have alcohol to help me though the tough times...

Someone else will can tighten the noose, but I'll volunteer to spook the horse...

Actually that's more of a knock against Drew than what I thought he would say quite honestly.
