I just can't stand the guy and that bugs me big time because he's on my favorite team in the WORLD : just simply looks like he doesn't care. Maybe he DOES and just sucks that bad, which would be incredibly and unbelievably ridiculous if you think about what we gave up for him. Wonder how JJ feels about him these days?

So where is the thread about the rest of the offense? You know, the other ten guys that didn't do squat.

It seems there always has to be someone to blame and this guy is the whipping boy of sites like this.

Maybe...just maybe the other team was prepared and played a great game.

This guy handed the Packers the ball and completely changed the complexion of the game.

Sure, there's plenty of blame to go around but when you have a guy who does nothing but say he is a top receiver consistently fail to produce and ultimately do more harm than good, you have every right to rail that guy as much as you want.

Roy is a ****ing bum. He's rarely shows up and when he does, it's often to no one's benefit because he ****s up as much as he helps.

Romo played well today. You can't blame him for missing an open WR twice when he was constantly getting hit. If you have ever played QB then you know how important it is to step into the throws, and you can't do that if you expect to be hit. It is called being gun shy.

Green Bay was very good today. That doesn't change the fact that Williams has been awful in a Dallas uniform so far. That catch and fumble is inexcusable, I'm sorry.

From a fan perspective, I suppose you are right.

But he was making an attempt at a run after the catch. I wonder if we won the game 17-7 would this be an issue at all.

Another so-called expert fan's opinion.

How short-lived is the Eagle win and his contribution.

I don't wonder, I KNOW it wouldn't be an issue if he would do his ****ing job. Catch the ball, hold on to the ball. Not that hard but pretty difficult for this clown to figure out.

...another thing.

On the drop that went right through his hands and hit him in the facemask, it seem like he was blaming Romo for throwing it too high. I don't know what he was actually complaining about, but he kept yelling towards Romo and pumping his hands in the air. Not sure anyone else caught that.

He lost it in the lights. You can see on the replay that he didn't close his hands -- which would have happened if he saw the ball -- until it was through his hands and hit him on the helmet.

It likely would be an issue but less of an issue. Roy Williams played a very poor game until the last drive today.

The whole offense honestly was a bit off today, but that fumble could really be seen as the turning point of this game.

We didn't win and yes it an issue. You think he is playing up to his capabilities of his contract??

Don't get me started again on this waste of draft picks & millions. I wasn't really surprised by the loss. From a moderate point of view, that game could have gone either way. I also wasn't surprised by Roy's continued inability to figure out why 2 + 2 = 4.

Maybe not an issue but definitely a symptom of a seemingly larger problem for this player. He looked like T.O as Butterfingers out there today and that's bad.

Romo has been targeting Williams ever since Williams commented about getting on page Romo.

No coincidence Austin has been getting less throws at him.
To me, he makes bad plays at the worst time. (3rd down drops, fumbles)
Make a play when it counts like a true number 1.

Nicely done. What's next, "neener neener"?

u guys act like he is the only WR to fumble or drop an easy pass...sheesh.

Agreed.

Biggems;3079849 said:
honestly, run this guy on slants and crossing routes and he will eat defenses alive.

Yes. It would have worked well with other guy but we didnt do it. It looks like we will/can do it with Roy.

Biggems;3079849 said:
Yes i am disappointed and angry over the fumble and the ball right off his hands, but at least he is also making plays as a receiver now and not just as a blocker. he scored a TD today, in garbage time, but it was a contested garbage time TD.

I saw some good things out there. That was one of the good things.

Biggems;3079849 said:
People look at his paycheck and expect Randy Moss or Jerry Rice.....it isnt going to happen. He is more of a possession type WR....but we arent using him that way. Once Garrett starts giving him the proper routes (the Michael Irvin type routes)....then his production will be very good.

Agreed. Best complete post of the thread.

Austin is being doubled right now, which is when Roy has to step up.

Sadly, for the most part he looks to be doing better from a chemistry standpoint with Romo, he just can't hang on to the friggin ball.

I thought that was supposed to be a strength of his?

Absolutely, 100% not a viable excuse. Cannot be used, WRs are coached to catch the light if they lose the ball in it. I catch the ball when I lose it in the light or sun ALL the time, did it at least 3 times today at a tournament. If Roy is as coachable as he wants us to believe, he would've learned a LONG time ago to "catch the lights".

RW had 100 yds recieving today, he showed promise and that's all we can hope for.

The underlying problem is the O-line and GB shredded them all day long. We gave up 5 sacks and it wasn't because of Free either...

I agree totally with you bro.

As much as I wanted to call out Roy for his gaffs the real problem was the Pack's ability to put pressure on Romo all day. In fact, we looked like Green Bay and they looked more like us.

Roy should've caught those passes though. The few opportunities we did get we didn't take advantage of.

I think he can't win the game by himself. I notice not one person is suggesting the four catches for twenty yards by Austin was sub-par.

The team lost today. That was a big play. But so were a half a dozen others that we didn't make.

But isn't it curious that Williams is lambasted and blamed for this loss with one turn-over and yet I seem to recall this entire board defended Romo's three interception day against the Giants as a team loss.

The hypocrisy of the fan of all teams is a thing to behold.
