YES (did you hear me), yes we need to be better on the offensive line. Every team can't be Philly or Detroit's o-line, but it's being made to seem as if every pass Dak throws, there's pressure in his face. There are times where Dak actually has time to throw, and nobody is open, lack of separation is the most troublesome aspect for our WR's.

This on and on about the O-line, I get it, but we have to look at our play makers, and their lack of getting open when Dak needs them to be open. In the last few seasons we've drafted Guyton, and Smith in the 1st rounds of the draft. It's time to get some play makers, and it's on our coaches/scouting department to get the guys that can make Dak's job just a little easier. Please give your thoughts!

No. All quarterbacks are not the same. The same goes for offensive line units and their ability to protect the quarterback.

Any and every front office must strive combining the best combination of cohesive linemen, not just to pass protect but for run blocking also. Plus, that combination must be addressed with optimally new, plug-and-play lineman on a nearly annual basis due to the salary cap, injury, player age, etc.

There has never been a quarterback, at any level, who has ever required the exact same degree of line protection as their peers. Dak Prescott is not an exception to this fact.

There is one thing the pre-2014 (before the second cornerstone of the offensive line, Zack Martin, was drafted) Tony Romo era should have taught Jerry Jones. It is that you do not mandate your quarterback constantly scrambling and being elusive way too often in order to escape pressure and make plays. That lesson is even more important when a quarterback is not as elusive to the pressure his offensive line surrenders.

No doubt we need WR with our first pick.

Much like the WR draft class after the top 5 WRs go after the board, same thing on this team after CeeDee Lamb - complete drop-off in talent.
I would think we might get lucky waiting to 44, definitely no later should be sooner.

Tolbert gets a bad rap around here.

I hear you guys, it's just this notion that he's under pressure EVERY single play. I don't think any QB is under pressure EVERY single play. Are there bad moments, of course! Once again guys also need to beat their coverage, and make a play!

If they don't bring in a proven number 2 WR I hope shotty and his crew at least gives everyone a real opportunity and let the best man receive the job.

That's what I hope for too with these new coaches, give guys a chance to compete, the best one wins

I think the OL does need improvement, but more in the run blocking than pass blocking. Of course they need to do both better - while cutting down the penalties. But OL issues are not as serious as some of the other issues, like RB, DL, CB and WR.

Unless someone like Membou falls to 12, I would hope they skip OL in the first 3 rounds.

I would be quite willing to stand pat this draft on the OL and give the young guys we have a year with new coaching to see what they have

this team has so many holes we need just this draft to take care of the biggest like DL and RB and LB

The offensive line does not work as a unit, there’s always one part of it breaking down. Better coaching better offensive line. Better talent definitely better offensive line. One player can run block, but can’t pass protect and vice versa. It’s just not a good unit together. Period

Hear hear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same w/ WR. Take a later round guy, but it would be a huge mistake for us to take a WR in rounds 1 or 2 this draft.

Do you, or others realize, over the past 3 or 4 years, they have rarely had the projected starting 5 OL in the game at the same time.
No continuity at all. That is a huge factor. Not only in pass protection, but also the run game, and overall effect of the offense.

Not making excuses for Dak or the lack of any great RB's. But that still is a big part of it.

I waffle a bit on this one… with regard to my own thoughts vs what the clowns will actually do. I want to build the lines, and not be concerned with trying to win THIS year, which even if they had the top three picks in this draft, they cannot do.

So I probably wouldn’t take a WR early, but I would bet the house that the kings of misevaluation aren’t thinking the way I am.

The flip side is if they don’t get a WR early, the one they take later probably doesn’t get on the field much this year, and a year from now WR is still a “need.”

As dumb as it may sound, Id rather see if Tolbert can become the best in the league or whatever he claimed he was, or if Mingo can get off bust highway.

Yeah the WR room isn’t great, but that ain’t the big problem as long as DT/LB is going to look like it currently does. They will continue to get gashed up the gut, and continue to draft WR, corners and backup tight ends. That’s the Jerry and Stephen “secret sauce.”

I know they watch the games. I can’t figure out how they either don’t see that and/or refuse to do anything about it. Giving Osa a big contract didn’t fix it. We already know him and Mazi aren’t enough but I guess the FO figures they did their part. It’s a sad joke.

Good point to bring up, if this does happen, our backups have to come in and give us something though. I think that Hoffman came in and did some good things, he doesn't get enough credit
