Trey Lance.

The punter got more pass attempts last night.

Cooper Rush is so bland and boring that it makes you lose focus on the game.

Who cares if Lance sucks at this point? What’s the worst that can happen? We lose by a 20?

If they announced today that Lance is starting next week it would instantly bring more excitement to the fanbase. If not for no other reason then the unknown that he brings. We still haven’t seen him get a real chance with the starters.

There is nobody wanting to watch Cooper Rush out there again. There is zero excitement in that.

We. Want. Lance.

Sink or swim.

Cant agree more.

Whats more astounding to me is that Jerry spent a 4th rounder on him. Yet then says they have a better chance at winning with Rush?

Who is trying to win at this point? Lets be honest here.

Id rather see what Lance has. Worst case=higher draft pick. Best case = He looks like he can be a serviceable backup. Jerry already hitched this teams wagon and the next HC career to Dak. Just like he hitched MM to KM. Just like he hitched Phillips to Garrett.

Jerry is the problem here. In every facet, every corner, and every way possible.

I have said several times before that I don't think Lance is the answer, but Rush is definitely not the answer as he seems to get older every time he throws a pass.

There is no reason not to play Lance at this point even if he plays horribly. Whether the Cowboys win or not, at least the games would be a little more enjoyable to watch.

Watching Rush play answers the question, "What would an average fan look like playing quarterback in the NFL?"

What do you have to lose at this point? Cooper has pictures on Jerry.

I think the Cowboys know Lance is gone after this season. In their minds, why play him if he isn't going to be here? There is no upside. I do not think he will do enough to win games for Dallas. Their problems are too many for Lance, or anyone, to solve at this point.

Agreed. No need whatsoever to play Rush right now. The season is over, time for some experiments.

The one good thing about a lost season is you can practically do anything on the field in order to find something good for next year. The worst thing you can do is continue to do the things which have been obviously not working out.

He must be really bad at practice if he can’t get a game over Cooper Interception
He was really bad at 49ers practice. He’s really bad at Cowboys practice. There’s no reason for this guy to even be on our team and yet we traded a 4th round pick for him and paid him a few million bucks. Couple that with the 4th round pick we just gave up for Mingo.

The team no longer has a vested interest in the development of Trey Lance. His contract is up at seasons end. So, if he goes out there and does well, all that would do is put us in a bidding war we can't afford next off season.
Lance is being developed every day they train.

He needs to start.

To bring a buzz, Jerry will announce that Lance will start on Thanksgiving Day.

There’s a problem that is in the way it’s called Jerry. If TL plays and does well Jerry looks dumb for paying Dak, if he flat out sucks Jerry looks really bad for the trade. If he’s doing really good at practice and Jerry wants to sign him cheap to keep him he won’t play him so other teams get interested. It’s all about Jerry the only way he plays is if CR gets hurt. Team is a disgrace and I have no idea how MM is even allowed in the building, the lack of effort and poor preparation should cost him the job.

Maybe because they actually want to get the WR’s some work? With Lance that’s out the window. I would go full on Vince Young UT offense with him however. It would be wild

Agreed. Just make him the starter for the rest of the season no matter if he’s throwing 17 picks per game. If he does great-he signs with another squad in the offseason and the Cowboys receive a comp pick in 2026. If he plays terribly, he gets no contract offer and exits the league.

One thing if the team was 5-5 and Dak was coming back in 2 weeks. Sure, play Rush.
But the team is 3-7, playoff hopes died a month ago, and Dak is out for the year.

Play the young guys. They are leaving Guyton out there to take his lumps.
Play J. thomas at safety, play Lance at QB, Bass/Richard at some point on the offensive line.
Bell at FS.

Sucks for the vets and soon to be retired guys, but the FO punted this year in March.
