He probably is but at this point, why would you want to win any games?

The season is lost and all you can hope for now is the best possibly draft position and hope we don't draft a bust!
True. Problem is with Lance and his ability to run with the football, he actually gives this team a better chance to pull an upset. With Cooper Rush, he can't run and his passing is badly limited. More of a guarantee to lose with Cooper Rush at QB. Now, if McCarthy brings up newly signed Will Grier from the practice squad, that drastically improves the Cowboys chances to win games. Definitely much better than with Cooper Rush or Trey Lance.

Playing him doesn’t really matter though…..this is his last year here AND we already signed Dak to a monster deal…..even if he balled out, there’s nothing we could do with him.

I have said several times before that I don't think Lance is the answer, but Rush is definitely not the answer as he seems to get older every time he throws a pass.

There is no reason not to play Lance at this point even if he plays horribly. Whether the Cowboys win or not, at least the games would be a little more enjoyable to watch.

Watching Rush play answers the question, "What would an average fan look like playing quarterback in the NFL?"
The average fan would not throw for 354 yards in an NFL game

I dont understand the Will Grier signing. They guy who couldnt beat out Cooper Rush. Surely there's some young QB on another teams PS who is worth a look?

No, Lance threw that pass way off mark. How is that the WRs fault? Take off your DDS glasses and evaluate properly.
It’s obvious you lost your objectivity a long time ago and you didn’t watch the game. Thanks for confirming my original point

Trey Lance.

The punter got more pass attempts last night.

Cooper Rush is so bland and boring that it makes you lose focus on the game.

Who cares if Lance sucks at this point? What’s the worst that can happen? We lose by a 20?

If they announced today that Lance is starting next week it would instantly bring more excitement to the fanbase. If not for no other reason then the unknown that he brings. We still haven’t seen him get a real chance with the starters.

There is nobody wanting to watch Cooper Rush out there again. There is zero excitement in that.

We. Want. Lance.

Sink or swim.
Well jerry just said he doesnt want to see lance starting at all !
So mike cant start him now.
He could start rush and then put lance in lol.
But if jerry says in private to him not to do it he wont.

Against wash would be good, as they are a good team, but against say carolina or giants it wont mean much.

lance had the 5 int game, so I think that was the end for him with jerry.

It might be more exciting though !!

Since when is Trey Lance exciting? Playing the worst QB on the team does not sound exciting.

One shot or kick is not the same as getting hit for 60 minutes and throwing against NFL players… are you people serious?
It's funny the rationale people will use to justify sub-average results.

I honeslty don't care if he throws for 1,000 yards. The only thing that matters is winning games and you do that by scoring points.

With Rush as the starting quarterback the last 2 games, the Cowboys have scored 6 and 10 points .. at home.

I'm sure the next move is to blame the other players, the coaches, the referees, the wind, the sun and probably the roof.

The Rush is over.

Let's be real if you were in the thread when he actually played. People were like yeah no. he had better velocity than Rush that's for sure. I don't expect to see him unless we are mathematically eliminitated from the playoffs. When he does plays he is going to throw a lot of INTs and fans and players are going to be mad. I promise each INT will be a meltdown.

I'm not a Lance fan, but the team needs to know now wether or not he's worth a new contract. The only way they will really know is to throw him out there and see. We know what we got in Rush. Besides, Lance is the team's best RB, get him on the field and put the ***** ball in his hands.

There isn’t any unknown with Lance he’s already shown he can’t play. This is his 4th NFL season and he’s had 4 career starts and couldn’t beat out Cooper Rush.

Let's be frank. After this season Rush will not be employable in this league if the Cowboys don't give him a roster spot.

I can't figure this out. As the backup what does Cooper do where he is not trying to get better physically and mentally. It's liek he has seriously regressed since his 5-1 run.

We all knew his arm wasn't great, but seeing what he has done the past three games is just embarassing.

if he plays well, and gets a job with another team we could get a comp pick.
