The One That Got Away

So everyone in the draft that is good ...... Dallas missed on them?

All of them got away ....... gotcha ....

Yeah, that's it.

Sorry if the logic escapes you.

He was there two spots above Dallas' pick.

How is that 'never in position to draft him'?

How did Seattle manage?

They were 'never in position to draft him' either.

The Cowboys managed to move up for Jenkins the year before (and deserve credit for doing so).

They guessed wrong this time and it cost them.

Because they gave up a 3, 4 and 5 rd draft choices in doing it.

don't forget not aggressively going after Johnnie Lee Higgins and Quintin Demps! :p jk

We could play this game for every draft with your "logic"--it is stupid, and pointless.

Actually, they traded their 3rd rounder (68 overall) and their 4th rounder (105 overall).

What logic?

We also "missed" on 48 other guys. I mean come on ..... we could have moved up to get any of them ..... right?

Hardly.

The Seahawks acted, the Cowboys didn't.

Sometime you're the hammer and sometimes you're the nail.

Maybe to you it is.

But I don't think it's 'stupid' or 'pointless' to level criticism if you feel it's warranted.

I don't agree with every move this team does or doesn't make.

I thought that as well.

Nah.

I'm saving that one for Week 6, when Austin, Stanback, and Roy Williams are out injured.

Everyone knows I was an Unger fan, and it sure looked like he would fall to Dallas. But that ship has sailed man, let it go.

Sounds like you will be very happy if that occurred.

If you jinx us, I'm gonna FedEx you a severed horse's head. You have been warned. ;) :)

Which is pathetic in itself.

Not at all.

I'm a fan.

I'd much rather be wrong than right in that case.

Mods should make a "hindsight is 20/20" zone so that all of the Bobby Carpenter/Greg Ellis-Randy Moss/Marcus Spears/etc. draft threads can go in there.

So, we passed on Crabtree, Stafford, Monroe, etc, etc.

I mean, we "could" have traded up to draft any of them, right?

Yeesh.
