The Packers game will tell me a lot about this team

I don't worry a ton about 2-2 at the quarter season mark.

Having said that, if they loose to Green Bay and drop to 2-3 at basically the 1/3rd season mark, then I think the alarms go off in a real way.

This is a Packer team coming in with all sorts of problems and they haven't looked very good despite their 3-1 start.

IMHO if I am going to hold onto my dream that the Cowboys are a Superbowl calibre team this year, they must win this home game vs the Pack.

This is not a SB caliber club. They could still beat the Packers..although both Rodgers and McCarthy seem to have the Cowboys and Garretts number. We shall see.

If we can't score against GB's defense we got BIG problems. They have NO running game as well so it won't show much. It's going to come down to AR as always. Hard to bet against that dude.

Green Bay never has a running game.

It's going to come down to what it comes down to every week. Is Tapper on the inactive list? You can't pretend to be serious about winning if he is.

We will fall a QB short of victory.

As much as I hate Rodgers he's got talent. That's the difference.

I said in the summer that I think this is going to be a long year. They will once again handle success poorly. I didn't like the distraction with Zeke. I didn't like his body language at camp. I certainly didn't like the safe space environment of training camp. I also said that if the Cowboys are a serious contender this year it would really impress me. It would be a true turning of the page. No more talk of the last 20 years of failure. This is a new era.

I just don't see it. This team is what they've always been and I don't know how they get past that without changes at the top.

Well not having a running game is huge with this defense. We've played two teams that did and we got throttled by it. Atlanta and KC should be fun!

I don't know. If we're still missing some defensive players and lose to a conference heavy weight that's coming off a mini-bye week...I don't know how much stock I put in it. They were pretty much circled as a potential loss on the schedule for me in the offseason (so were the Giants wk1 and Cardinals). Incidentally, I had us beating Denver and Rams. So based on how my predictions are a complete 180, I guess we beat GB?

I really want to see how we do coming out of the bye. If we come out in week 7 healthy but still keep playing with this funk, then it doesn't look good.

Nah, definitely not a must win but it will show fortitude. They can lose and it's not a huge deal. If they come back and beat the Niners and Skins they'll be 4-3 and 2-0 in the division.

Realistically, they could then split the Chiefs/Falcons(a Falcons win is optimal for Conference tiebreakers) and beat the Eagles to sit at 6-4 and 3-0 in the division.

So itd sting a bit, but there's still 11 more games after next week, including 5 division games. Just like winning doesn't guarantee us much, a loss doesn't either.

But I will be interested in seeing how it goes. If this is as horribly officiated as the playoff games vs them, we'd be lucky to even consider this a winnable game

There coming to our home a mess like last year. Hope this time we can stuff the refs and the Pack at the same time. I am more worried about the refs and their calls than Rogers.
