The Packers game will tell me a lot about this team

This game isn’t going to be close it feels like 2010 when the team started quitting on Wade...

I don't worry a ton about 2-2 at the quarter season mark.

Having said that, if they loose to Green Bay and drop to 2-3 at basically the 1/3rd season mark, then I think the alarms go off in a real way.

This is a Packer team coming in with all sorts of problems and they haven't looked very good despite their 3-1 start.

IMHO if I am going to hold onto my dream that the Cowboys are a Superbowl calibre team this year, they must win this home game vs the Pack.

I'll say this...

Dallas should be 3-1 at this point. However, I would gladly take 3-2 with a win over GB vs. a win against the Rams and loss to GB. I know wins aren't mutually exclusive, but it does seem like this team plays better with more on the line. We'll see..

I said in the summer that I think this is going to be a long year. They will once again handle success poorly. I didn't like the distraction with Zeke. I didn't like his body language at camp. I certainly didn't like the safe space environment of training camp. I also said that if the Cowboys are a serious contender this year it would really impress me. It would be a true turning of the page. No more talk of the last 20 years of failure. This is a new era.

I just don't see it. This team is what they've always been and I don't know how they get past that without changes at the top.
For starters I also noticed zeke's body language during camp. And I totally get where your coming from with holding out hope that this team will string together some consecutive winning seasons and turn the proverbial page for this franchise.

I'll never forget Dak's 1st preseason game and how it carried over to the regular season. But I always had reservations about him but was hopeful that he would/will continue to grow and become a true franchise qb. Well my enthusiasm has been severely tempered and I'm afraid this kid, with this staff, will not satisfy all the long suffering cowboy fans.

I just sense it...

I agree. We have a full week, and a home game here, with a few defenders coming back. This is a winnable home game.

I was more worried about the Rams than the Packers to begin with, in part because of the early start and the quick turnaround for Dallas. Even setting wins and losses aside for a moment, how we look this week coming off a loss we shouldn't have taken is going to tell us a lot about what sort of team this is likely to be coming down the stretch.

We'll need to finish +3 turnovers to have a shot. We're nowhere the team we were last January. And GB still has Aaron Rogers.

You also have to wonder if Lee is even healthy enough to play. If he does will he be limited?

It's all about Dak
no its not,Dak is struggling with accuracy but he is not the one who is getting run over or cant cover. This defense is atrocious and the first 3 games against bad olines made us think our Dline can get pressure but the sad truth is against a good oline we are going to see a QB pick us apart.

Rodgers will have a field day against our D and Dak will consistently miss open receivers beyond 10 yards.

Final score 38-24 Packers.

For the 2nd straight week we'll be facing a team that has had extra rest -Thursday night game previous week. We'll also be facing a team that seems to find ways to beat us consistently. I cannot see how our defense is going to make any significant improvement despite the 'reinforcements" coming in. We will still have the same bland defensive scheme and the same unimaginative offense.
Another loss.

I like our chances against the Packers. That being said, I do think this is an especially important game for Dak. He’s got to improve his accuracy and decision making.

Don't matter if Dak were ballin'

He's the reason we won games last year! He's the reason we're 2-2. If he had played better yesterday, we would be 3-1. We had no chance in Denver. Boy wonder would've taken that L.

But the 48 vs the Broncos in 2013!!!!

He wouldn't do that at Denver

He's the reason why we beat Arizona anyway

I can see a scenario where we keep it close and play hard until the end of the 3rd, and then the D gets tired or makes a mental errror, and then,,,we’ll we have seen this episode before. The names will be changed to protect the innocent from last week, but the storyline is the same.

I'm not optimistic. The defense has had two awful games where they can't even tackle. I don't expect them to suddenly get better. Wysiwyg
The worst mistake we made is thinking Heath was a starter in this league,he might the worst Safety in this league.

Green Bay never has a running game.

It's going to come down to what it comes down to every week. Is Tapper on the inactive list? You can't pretend to be serious about winning if he is.

The team needs to stop forcing the ball to Dez and forcing Taco on the field. It's pretty clear to anyone who is objective.
