the packers rushed for 74 yards in the 4th quarter.....how is that even possible. as usual we gave up our customery 30+ yard run. and we gave up a 39 TD pass on a 4th down. they had 123 total yards in teh 4th....

sorry, our offense isn't clutch. our defense isn't clutch. out coaches aren't clutch. this team isn't clutch.

when you get an opponent, struggling, with injuries, then you put the dagger in and end them. but we played down to their level. this team is not capable of winning anything. its not an over reaction after a loss. been saying it in preseason.

for the Dak haters, Dak will be gone. and this trend of this team sucking will continue. its not going to change. this franchise is gaining value, the most valuable franchise in the WORLD and yet, we accomplish nothing.

tell me why Jerry/Stephen should change the way they run the team if I become more valuable every day?

It's easy to play off the run defense during wins, and come out in the media and say all the right things about getting it fixed. You take a loss like this and you start to see things actually change.

I thought the quote from Parsons last night about guys staying in their gaps and not doing their own thing was pretty telling, and holds a lot of truth. Lots of posters in recent weeks have expressed concern about the Cowboys defenders being too focused on the pass rush and end up basically taking themselves out of the play vs runs. The mentality of this defense from the first few weeks of the season seems to have inflated the egos a bit and when that happens a game like what we just saw can be necessary.

I'm sure Parsons isnt going to just come out and say something like that without that message being brought up in practice and the film room constantly. I have to assume this is the messaging coming from DQ all week, and now we see if DQ can earn all the praise that he has been giving up to this point. Coming off a bad loss with another huge opponent next week I guarantee he has the attention of his defense that has been embarrassed. Time for the messaging to hit home for these guys, and it's time to start seeing better results.

I know everyone is still low on the Cowboys and predicting the Vikings to blow them out of the water next week, but I have a feeling this team responds. If not we are in a lot of trouble.

Dallas has allowed 550 yards rushing in its last 3 games. Remember all that talk in July/August about being a tougher team? Well nothing has changed. San Fran, TB or whatever team we face in the WC round will maul us.
Well the team brought in Hankins to stop the running....

They need to tighten up the run defense because giving up 175 yards/game rushing is a sure-ticket exit from the playoffs.
I honestly think it's too late in the season to fix it. It is what it is at this point. Our best chance is getting big enough leads to where the other team has to abandon the run

It’s definitely not too late. Just need better LB play and we have two LB’s right now that we know nothing about but with all the talent in the world. Just try them out at least.

This was a blinking red light in the off-season and Jerry did nothing to address it.

LVE is below average and we did nothing to fix the 1T position until now where we signed a has been in Hankins.

It’s not going to get better either…we’re going to have to try and build leads and force teams into throwing it more to have our best chance.

Because winning will make them even more valuable. Why is that so hard for people to comprehend. The Joneses aren't good at their jobs, but it's not for lack of trying. It's because they think they know how to run a football team. It's the Dunning Kruger Effect. With Jerry's ego, I'd bet a week's paycheck that he wants to win even more than we want it.

That's the scary part. GreenBay stuck with the run to get back in the game. So if we get leads on teams the blue print for them to comeback on us is to continue pounding the rock, and hit a big play action or two. I'm trying to figure out why we continued to pass the pall. Our run game was solid, and finally we unleashed a few draw plays.

my comment wasn't in regards to him wanting to win, vs. not to....he is just not good at building a winning team and do all the right things it takes to win......

LB, especially MLB, was a huge weakness in offseason.

Drafting Tolbert over a LB or DT was pure stupidity.

Not signing Bobby Wagner was bad, but not trying to trade for Roquan Smith was just incompetence.

Tolbert was a reach because they compounded their mistake of trading away their best WR for nothing in return.

Seems like we could really use a Refrigerator Perry type DT that can clog the middle up taking that running lane away single handed.

But it isnt what's killing us (though less than optimal)....we conceded 3 passing TD's two of which were 39 and 58 yard throws.

If we go back to the 3rdQ we are 28-14 up with less than 18mins left and we can't/don't stick to running the ball and killing the clock.

Our run Defense is poor, but it's not the PRIMARY reason for failure, just as much blame on our CB2's, Secondary alignment (not moving Diggs), KM not running the ball, WR's/QB communication.

You’re sort of right but it’s important to note that the cowboys changed their coverages to help with the run, especially those outside runs. When you’re that weak in one area you have to use other resources. Far from the only issue but the cowboys became very vulnerable in the secondary because they couldn’t stop the run. This also completely destroyed the pass rush.

That's one of the problems playing so much Nickel Defense and not having a bulky D-Line, preferring athleticism.....we are trying to produce a hybrid approach for all eventualities rather than focus on creating favorable counts. We have enough pass-rushing options play the run and if we cant switch-out then so be it.

Our problem appears to be that our coaches want to play for the hero play rather than the hard yards....preferring to highlight the spectacular (Sack and Pass) over the mundane bread and butter (Run both sides).
