I'm not so sure about that but won't argue with you if you know for certain. It's my understanding that Ellis still has PUP eligibility up until today.

I read somewhere today that they were trying to see about putting him on the PUP since he never actually practiced. Those 30 minutes or so were warming up and stretching, and working with the trainers on the side.

Don't know it that will fly though.

I think they have 2 NFLE excemptions even though they had 3 players in NFLE. Ayodele, Saldi and Curtis.

I believe the rule states specifically that the player cannot be put on the PUP list if he started training camp on the active roster.

Did Ellis start training camp on the active roster? I have no idea.

But I doubt we put him on any PUP list. It *feels* (strictly MO) that Ellis is trying to get paid for rehabbing this year, and hope to get cut loose next year.

Something tells me Jerry won't let it go down like that.

Grammaticas leg is too weak ( for his size he has freakish leg strength IMO) but he has more experience than Folk.

NE let go of probably the most clutch kicker in NFL history and a HOF, and they hardly missed a step with that rookie they put in.

Maybe Folk can do that for us. We will have to see how he does in his first regular season game. Having the onus of losing an entire game for two seconds of botched "work" when the entire team worked their buts off to get to that part is not a place I would want to be in. Hopefully Folk will thrive there.

It's obvious to me that there are two scenarios being factored.

Either it is one of two players and they haven't decided which one, or it is an injured player and they're trying to determine if they'll offer an injury settlement or not.

Since Grammatica won't kick in the last pre season game and he's injured I suspect he will be the cut tomorrow.
