The praise Dak is receiving for that game is ridiculous

Anyone aged 40+ should be ashamed of themselves if they were happy with Dak's play against the Vikings. Millennials are thrilled with good fantasy numbers and participation trophies, but the older generation SHOULD know winning is what's important. Dak had a chance to win it at the end of the game and he flat out blew it. As the leader of the offense, can't he audible out of ridiculous run calls? Then why didn't he?? Everyone else knew how stupid those calls were. And don't tell me he was scared of any retribution by that lame fool clapper for changing the plays . Secondly, he had open lanes to run instead of forcing bad passes. But that's exactly what he did, especially on the bad pass to Zeke on 4th. He can run, so why didn't he? I guess he doesn't want to get hurt until he gets that huge contract.

I don't give a rat's hiney what any Daktards think, Dak is NOT a leader and he CAN'T win the big game. Fantasy numbers and participation trophies pfffftt.
    Prove me wrongo_O.

Wrong.. Zeke was absolutely a factor in how the Vikings chose to play defense..

When Zeke goes out, like he did in his six game suspension, Dallas looks pathetic offensively and couldn’t even break double digits scoring against three of the good teams out of the six teams, the other three bottom dwellers, they played..

Would you agree that the Cowboys offense is much different from 2017?

You've been proven wrong by nearly every stat and advanced metric in existence. There reaches a point where you just cant teach stupid. No one giving Dak credit is celebrating a loss either. Do better.

No, I don’t and neither do our opponents, who have been playing one deep safety with man on the outside consistently with Dak, when Zeke is in the backfield this year. The approach by defenses in regards to this team is the exact same, to stop Zeke.

The Vikings pretty much did it all night and they didn’t even have their best corner back, leaving a second year CB on Amari all game long without safety help. Jim Schwartz essentially did the same thing with his third string CBs and LBs injuries last year, and this year.

the only difference is Dak, after 3 years, realizes he has man coverage pretty much all day on the sideline routes because of how this team is defending the Cowboys and the RG and he needs to challenge the corners. Yippee...

The reason teams can just stop Zeke and win the game is because the coaching staff will keep running into a brick wall instead of adjusting. I thought they got past that the first couple weeks of the season but I was wrong.

The only difference that matters is that Dak is now making opposing defenses pay for stacking the box to stop the run, unlike in years past.

Defenses are exhausted by the third quarter facing this running game, while Zeke ‘keeps running into a brick wall’.

And yet they are still losing to good teams and he went to Zeke immediately on the 4th and 2 when Vikings went two safeties. That could have been an easy six pick. And we still can’t score in the red zone on Dak’s arm...

The point is, you essentially just confirmed what I stated. The argument that Dak is carrying this team is a crock of garbage. Dak’s success is predicated on Zeke and the running game. He’s just better than he was at challenging the man on the outside and the sideline routes which are a product of the run game, but were always there.

He is also throwing more decisively on the crossing routes over the middle, but again, a lot of that has to excellent pass protection in those scenarios with the long developing routes which require excellent blocking.

Every QB throws into the hands of defenders, yet for some reason our QBs are never allowed to do so.

If you know your coach will throw you under the bus for not running the play he wants, no surprise Dak threw it to Zeke. If he throws to Cooper and it isn't successful, Garrett would tell the world he was supposed to throw it to Zeke.

Sometimes Zeke carries the team, last Sunday it was Dak. If only the defense could step in with an assist. I gave up on the coaching staff long ago.

Against the Vikings, we failed to come away with scores TWICE.

The first drive we threw TWICE, on second and third. We came away with a FG.

Haven't seen Zeke breaking any huge runs late in games that would point to the defense being exhausted.

Our defense is second only to New England in fourth quarter scoring and we are basically a top five scoring defense. We are even better than the Vikings in that regards. Our defense actually stopped the Vikings defense in the fourth and gave us the ball back with plenty of time to move down the field.

The 14 point lead that gave the Vikings a head start was when our offense was also struggling and we actually went PASD HEAVY on those drives. It was a 9-4, pass-run ratio.

Dak’s big passing plays, going 5 for 5 on THIRD AND LONG, on the second quarter were basically predicated on great pass protection on long, developing pass plays against man coverage on the outside. They were either sideline routes, or by the third, the deep crossing routes by Cobb over the middle. That’s all because of great protection and the Vikings dedicating resources at the line.

We were pass heavy because the Cowboys got behind the chains a bunch running on first down.

Zeke doesn’t have to break huge runs. He’s not a big gain runner, he’s basically a power runner that keeps moving forward, gaining three yards when they should be one. He’s a back whose bread in butter is keeping Dallas in manageable downs and moving the chains.

    Zeke also gets ‘exhausted’ himself.

If that is the case we should be giving Pollard more carries.
