I came across some stats:

Bledsoe had 17 fumbles, 17 interceptions and 49 sacks this year in 499 attempts... Vinny T had 8 fumbles, 20 interceptions and 34 sacks last year in 495 attempts think about that for just a moment and not let it just pass in one ear and out the other folks plus the running game for most of the season sucked for Testy because Jones was hurt

also VT had 60.0% completion rate Bledsoe had 60.1%
VT threw for 3532 yards without Terry Glenn for the most part Bledsoe threw 3639

average per pass completion VT 7.14 Bledsoe 7.29

they are the same guy...it is freaky...they are so close the only differerance would be that Bledsoe threw a few more TD's 23 for Bledsoe to 17 for VT but bledsoe had lot more negative plays....

Vinny did more with less...no TG-no JJ and for the most part an attrocious o-line

:lmao: We we're 6-10. Vinny put games away for us with an INT. Vinny can only throw touch passes. His arm is like a little woman.

No, Cowboys Defense mostly put the game away before Vinny even tried that. Vinny sucked, so does Bledsoe, although not as bad as Vinny, I would agree. But Vinny had far less to play with than Bledsoe had this year. No way, 2004 Defense is as good as 2005 D, not even close.

Yeah but Vinny didn't win any games for us really. Bledsoe lead us to several great wins. On those rare days when he had decent protection, he looked like one of the best QBs in the league. And Vinny had something that Drew didn't have -- a strong LT protecting the blind side.

Try actually watching the games they played. VT killed this team with INTs, and had a 50 year old arm. Granted, he threw the short routes a bit better, but if you honestly believe the two performed the same, you either haven't watched a Cowboys game in two years, or have lost your mind from all the Bledsoe hating.

Vinny wasn't the reason for last year's debacle and Drew wasn't the reason for this year's.

Our focus for next year needs to be 1) getting a good kicker 2) fixing the OL and 3) finding a good backup for Bledsoe (If Romo is that guy, then great, if not bring in a FA). If we can snag a FS, then great as well.

Arguing over Bledsoe/VT is not only pointless, but counter productive.

Vinnie had Adams but that's really the only advantage he had. Allen had a much better year this year over last. As bad as the Center position was this year, it was probably worse last year. RG was also worse last year and that's saying something. RT was about the same IMO. It was a turnstyle with three different players. Zero continuety. That's the truth of the matter IMO.

I'm guessing you didn't watch many games to say something like that. Testaverde had alot of faults, but he could sling it deep with the best of them.

Is is freaky how much their stats are similiar, however, stats can and do lie......

Bledsoe won 4 games for us this year on making great plays......and yes he did lose a couple.....but, Bledsoe had the better arm and year

Word to the Wise: You're football IQ is going to take a serious hit after this post.
Look at it this way:
I would venture to say that most people, probably close to 80%, of the people who drink and drive make it home safely. Does that make it smart or right? Just because it looks good on paper ..........

Yeah. Ok. So let's bring Vinny back and be QB next year so we can go to the SB. I am sure Bill wouldn't have a problem with that.

Yeah, because the only options we have at QB are retreads like Testaverde and Deadslow. There is no draft, or any other QBs on our roster.
