The QB Dallas should go get instead of drafting

Here's the QBs in recent years that are starting in the league. Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, Andy Dalton, Ryan Tannehill, Jamis Winston and Marcus Mariotta and that's just in the last few years. You went back almost a decade to find 3 of the names your list. There's drafted QBs that are backups that are decent. No one is saying there isn't a lot of busts at QB but 90% aren't "miserable busts."

You just named all the good ones, and we don't know about some of them yet.

Go look at the past five drafts. It's LOADED with quarterback busts.

We don't know about some of the ones you listed the book isn't closed on Geno Smith or EJ Manuel. The past 5 drafts may be loaded with busts but no way were 90% of the ones drafted in the first 2 rounds "miserable busts." That would be like RARELY hitting on a QB. It's less than 50/50 you're going to land a franchise QB in the first 2 rounds but no way is there a 90% chance you're going to end up with a "miserable bust." You're going way overboard the odds aren't nearly that bad.

Not cost effective. To wrestle a potential franchise QB away from another team would require more resources than a R1 with a five year option and I'm not discounting the #1 pick. They're not going to just give him up. If you're talking about someone cheap then are you really not better off trying to recycle someone off the scrap heap? Cause that's what you're getting even if wrapped in a bow.

Some of those QBs were drafted after the second round where your chances for a bust go way up. I'm talking about the first 2 rounds that's where you find most of your good QBs. There's not a 90% failure rate in the first 2 rounds. There's no facts to support that percentage you keep throwing out. The 2014 draft produced 3 starting QBs that were drafted in the first 2 rounds.
