If he had what it took to be a franchise QB which is what we need to replace Romo if we want any chance to win a championship Tenn would have inserted him as their starter and not used #2 overall pick on Mariota. "Almost" every starting QB in the league was drafted. If you want to find a franchise QB you have to draft one you're not going to find one riding another teams bench. Name one current team that has a "franchise QB" they picked up from another team except for the Giants and Chargers who made a trade with Eli and Rivers?

There are about 12 quarterbacks in the world worth a crap at any given time. That's a wholotta busts. "Serviceable" doesn't cut it. Weeden is serviceable.

Here's the QBs in recent years that are starting in the league. Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, Andy Dalton, Ryan Tannehill, Jamis Winston and Marcus Mariotta and that's just in the last few years. You went back almost a decade to find 3 of the names your list. There's drafted QBs that are backups that are decent. No one is saying there isn't a lot of busts at QB but 90% aren't "miserable busts."
