The Rams and Eagles loom menacingly

I think it’s fascinating that many of the same people who hate Dak Prescott believe Jalen Hurts is somehow a good NFL starting QB.

Just goes to show how few people really understand what they’re watching when they turn a football game on.
I've probably been the biggest critic of Hurts on these boards, but even I have to admit that Hurts is ballin' right now. And having played four years of D1 ball, I know a little bit about what I see so far.

I don't believe his style of play is sustainable, but for now he is killing it.

Anyone have a scouting report on the Rams OL?
I've seen pieces of two games. They are not as cohesive as last year, and they are not the same without Whitworth at LT. The run game has suffered. They are a great example of why teams need a real preseason. Our D can cause some real damage if they don't get their poop together soon.

Jalen Hurts has an entire offense designed around hiding his inability to stand in the pocket and read a defense. Dak Prescott is one of the highest rated active QBs when attempting many downfield passing concepts.

For example, Jalen Hurts career QB rating is nearly 25 points lower on throws from the pocket more than 20 yards downfield than Dak’s. And that just a rough aggregate, the numbers get even more striking on a concept by concept basis.

Prescott has forgotten more about throwing a football than Hurts will ever know.
:lmao2:
You make Prescott sound like Peyton Manning :lmao:

Dear me. Have you seen the general STATE of Dak Prescott attempting to read a defense over his last 12 games...yeah he's like a computer...more like a rabbit caught in the headlights:facepalm:

I think if we could somehow get the win against the Commanders and then manage a split over the next two, that would be ideal and seemingly doable.

One difference is at this point, Hurts is just a way better and bigger threat running the ball. That's always going to be there for him for the next few years. The question has always been his passing. And for this year, at least, he's been really, really good throwing the ball. If he continues that kind of passing, with the threat he has with his legs, he's going to be a really good QB.

But the question remains is can he keep up this level of passing success? I really don't know.

I know everybody's excited and looking to buy playoff tickets right now but you better beat the Wentzes on Sunday with those two next on deck.

And that will be a bit of a desperate team after losing their last two.

You combine that with the return of Prescott (we're merely in remission now) and things might not be so jovial around here in a few weeks.

I know. I'm just saying.

Cowboys!

Why you borrowing tomorrow's troubles? Enjoy the victory while you can. We can't even take Washington for granted.

Because I don't need a safe space.

Being able to enjoy the moment isn't about needing a safe space. It's about stopping to smell the flowers. Enjoying the moment. You couldn't even do that for a day.

Yeah, and the Bengals were supposed to wipe the floor with us in Week 2.

Cooper Rush, this run game and this defense can apparently keep us in any game.

The deadskins will be angry after their beat down, hungry to get W and they hate us. So they will be ready to fight and give us a run for it, much like the gmen last night. But I think we should be able to over power them by the 4th.

The Rams are a good team, on both sides of the ball. I think it will be a great game and test for us. If we can hang with them (that will depend on the offense) or even prevail there, it could catapult the teams confidence. If they get abused, it could make them collapse. This game is pivotal to our season I think. Our play here is very important for the next game.

The igglets are good, have a lot of weapons, a pretty good O-line and a decent defense. It will be in Filthydumpia so they will be hyped as always to play us. But TBH, I think they're being overhyped by a lot. I still think Hurts is a fraud and a great defense like ours will expose him for what he is. They have a bit of a test coming from a surging Jags team, then a desperate Cards team before facing us. If we have confidence, and the offense can score some points, we can win that game. Or at the very least make it very competitive.

He’s looked really good throwing the ball because their offense is designed to give him wide open throws in space, or otherwise take off running. He’s not actually reading a defense. He’s loooking to a spot, seeing if a receiver is open and throwing it. And it works for now because defenses ar esp preoccupied with the running game, his running ability, all the motion and RPO they utilize. But once defenses really get a handle in the fact that on any given play the ball is only designed to go to one or two spots it will get Eaten up.

Philly's schedule is easy now and tougher later. Dallas' is the opposite.

It’s easy now and easy later. We are currently the only team in the NFL to be favored in every single remaining game:

Why be scared? Either you are good enough to compete with the Eagles and Rams or you are not.

Beyond the depths. As in deeper, even moreso, far beyond just stupid.

But never mind. Geez. I'll use pictures next time.

Predicting the over under on games months out is little different to predicting the quality of the schedule that far off. You’re just putting a number to it
