Not just the Rams, but what about Cinci? The Bengals starting defense are a majority free agent pickups. And they played lights out tonight. Most were not drafted by them.
Let’s be honest here, we all know Jerruh & Stephen are bad at free agency. Would you trust them to be able to fill the holes through FA? Absolutely not.
Dumb and dumber are too moronic to pull off building a team through the draft and free agency

They blow most of the cap on homegrown players.

This! Its really not jerry. Stephens silver spoon *** is the one handicapping this team.
Overpaying a lot of our homegrown players is what is handicapping this franchise

You can't be too cheap when it comes to spending on the players. There is a floor cap after all.

We should try the Rams model and see what happens, its been 26 freaking years doing it Jerry's way with nothing to show for it.

Well the starting point for the Rams was bringing in a proper QB in Stafford capable of putting the team on his shoulders for a game winning drive.

How do we dump Prescott without kneecapping ourselves with the salary cap?

Hopefully Jethro will pay attention to how they turned this around by making bold moves in FA and blockbuster trades not satisfied with just a playoff team.

They took a chance mortgaging the future to win now. This is definitely a model our owner could follow . And could be the best path to bringing in more talent to get over the hump, now.

Stop reading when you implied Jerry Jones would learn from past mistakes or gather knowledge from other teams paths to success.

This SB shows the impact that an elite QB can have on a team. The Rams couldnt win with a good roster and an average starting QB. Had to get an elite QB.

The Bengals getting an elite QB got them to the SB even with multiple mediicre starters in many positions - a roster that, man for man, is much weaker than the Cowboys.

The days of winning a SB with Trent Dilfer etc are long gone - different era, different rules.

A QB is way more important now than at anytime in NFL history.

Dallas is living in the past by thinking a loaded offensive roster will overcome QB issues.

Stephen way too cheap. He only thinks about draft. Won’t change.
Yes but he way overpaid Zekr , Dak , DLaw . Jaylon and we see how mediocre to bad that
Turned out . But it could have been Jerry making these decisions . dallas needs a lot of part now to fix the OL and add to the Defense .

They can start by giving another team like the Packers a couple first round picks to take Dak and his contract and getting Rodgers.

The theory what Dak is good enough to win a SB with a great OL or DL is not viable anymore.
Dak is not a top 10 QB this is why he failed to use Cee Dee and engineer game wins against good teams .
The OL is deteriorating as well .

If Dallas had Burrow they would of had a chance but Dak is fools gold.

When I first presented this thread I didn’t mean it was something we could do immediately as we are strapped with a couple contracts but we could look to this one day.

I think it’s a better model today than in previous years in this league if you want to be all in to win now.

And I thought it could be an Avenue our owner might be interested in and in a position to pull off without the accountability of it failing.

All I know is you drop Brady with an offense that had 5000 yds passing the year before, and top tier defense, and then give them the 4th overall pick at RB for free.

Then the Rams with two 90 catch WRs the year before get Stafford, top tier defense, then all of a sudden Odell Beckham lands on your roster for free.

2 in a row made up Super teams is a NFL trend and not luck.

Yea but you know what’s surprising to me is revamping a team thru free agency like the Rams have done seems like could be Jerry’s way as well.

There’s not a bigger risk taker nor an owner and GM with less to risk . Why wouldn’t he take this route? What does he have to lose ?
