Yea, this is two years in a row it’s worked.
Well it's not as if we have even gotten as far as getting a shot at the teams that have "gone for it."

We are probably much further away then we all think.

Well, except for the folks who run the team.

Model or not after 25 years, try something different. I would start by firing the GM for the last 25 years.

If we went all in I can imagine it back firing all to crap. At least then we could build from the ground up. We've only managed to stay relevant enough to not rebuild. Its probably the worst pattern to be in, leads to a lot of false hope and disappointment.

Hopefully Jethro will pay attention to how they turned this around by making bold moves in FA and blockbuster trades not satisfied with just a playoff team.

They took a chance mortgaging the future to win now. This is definitely a model our owner could follow . And could be the best path to bringing in more talent to get over the hump, now.

Not sure how long you go back with this team but that has never worked out for dallas. It has either ruined our cap for years or the FO did Free Agency all wrong.

It would have to start with Jerry doing what Kroenke does. Hiring qualified people to run football ops and getting out of the way. Until that happens nothing changes.

What about the Bengals? You can argue that we should’ve gone all in on the tank job when we were bad. Or look at the Chiefs and 49ers. What most of them have in common are 1st round QBs (or trades for QBs involving 1st rounders) and a heavy investment on defense (especially D-line).

The Rams traded two first round picks plus to get Goff and got to the SB.

The Rams traded Goff along with two first round picks plus to get Stafford, and get to the SB.

That ain't to shabby.

These merged threads are annoying. Let threads stand in their own and let the people decide.

If we did what the Rams did than what would Jerry do on draft night? You know he loves the attention.

LOL...leave it to Jerry.., helping them bring the Rams to LA, helping them build a stadium....and they get to not only go to the SB, but play in their own stadium. And Jerry still looking for answers about his own team.....LOL.., Jerry drinking tonight.

Jerry getting paid for merchandising in that stadium though. Jerry killing it..

How far we going over the hump with status quo? just saying

I don't think it will make a difference. I could be naive, but I don't see the talent here being the problem. We lack leadership. We are not getting it from the coaches and we don't have players that step up that give it in place of the coaches. We can't trade for a quarterback who would get angry if everyone is not playing at playoff levels because of a bad contract. Usually your QB would be the #2 leader after coaching. So we would have to get FA that have both talent and leadership traits that could step in for the QB and coaching.

No they are not. The 49ers are. Run the dam ball and limit Dak to throw 25-35 passes a game.
