I'm just curious how long some of those guys have been dinged up/out on that Ravens injury list. There's some significant talent on that list.

Even with that injury list, they're still #1 in yards given up, 281 a game, #2 in yards given up per drive. #3 in points per game. #1 in rushing defense, only allowing 3.3 yards a carry. They allow a little higher QB rating than NYG and Philly, but still 9th, which balances out a bit considering they're 5th in defensive YPA, better than NYG and Philly.

Their offense isn't very good but their defense is going to be the best we've faced so far, comparable to Philly but I'd give Balt a slight edge. If Yanda has been out and he plays, that's a big help on their OL.

Unless Flacco suddenly turns it on, we should be favored. We have to protect the ball though. If we don't turn the ball over, we should definitely win this game.

I think Garrett has this team coached well enough to not take them for granted no matter what us fans do

right now flacco is the second worst quarterback in the nfl. if he even plays average that ravens team would be pretty good. all it would take is for flacco to have a his only good game tomorrow and we could lose.

They need a running game to help Flacco. And averaging only 3.5 ypc isn't exactly a confidence builder for a terrible qb like Flacco.

Man, all just talked this talk about the number one defense and got me wondering who have they beaten so far.

Browns (2)
Jaguars
Steelers
Bills

Losses
Raiders
Skins
Giants
Jets

We should win this game.

There should be no reason for us to lose this game.

Yep. Dak is 2nd. Many people have no idea just how much a great effective rush attack helps the QB when it comes to throwing the ball. Play action passes are more effective. Your not facing that many 3rd and longs.

When the defense knows you can't run the ball, it puts WAY more pressure on the QB.
too bad quarterbacks couldn't figure that out last year on our team.

It doesn't matter who any one beat the week before or before that. It matters who you beat this week.

Dumervil and Jimmy Smith being out is crippling to that defense (Smith more than Dumervil).

I've watched the Ravens a little bit more this year, mainly because they playing our division. In both games they played against Washington and the Giants they looked horrible. No matter how much rooting we did for them to win, they were just awful. Don't look like a very good team this year. I really think the media is trying to hype this game up to be bigger than it is. If we play our game, we should win this.

At this point, It doesn't matter to me who teams have beaten or played. The Cowboys haven't beat anyone and they beat the next team and then that team is having a down year. That's what it's felt like anyway. So maybe the Ravens haven't beat anybody but they are the best in the league at stopping the run. Flacco is a weird Quarterback. He's like Eli Manning. He can look really bad at times and then out of nowhere hit two long bombs for touchdowns. The Cowboys are the better team but I still expect a tough game.

Team are going to start taking more chances against the Cowboys (i. e. An all or nothing style).

I expect to see more blitzing from defenses, more special teams tricks and more risky game plans by offenses.

As Nate Newton would say to opponents back in the Super Bowl years "Come on man, why you gotta try so hard, you know we gonna win".

This thread is made stronger. The Ravens have yet to beat a team with a winning record.
