The refs' "missed" fumble on Schultz changed the entire complexion of the game

One thing that I'm glad we did regardless - hurry up and snap the ball. Even if it's just a QB sneak and you get nothing, I'd rather we have 2nd and 10 vs. a turnover due to messing around.
Apparently that rule is no longer being utilized, just ask Maher about his two 60s.

Since people here like to contend that they just want a fairly called game I'm shocked that this play hasn't been talked about. With Indy already up 3-0 and the Cowboys driving for what would be their first score, Schultz clearly fumbles this ball that the refs, who you all say swallow their whistles, immediately blow a play dead that was a fumble and Indy had pounced on. @Blackrain told me to be vigilant about what the refs might be up to in this game and will you look at this? An egregious benefit to Dallas who were trailing and about to go down 10-0 if this had stood. With the Cowboys as notorious slow starters, pass-happy Moore probably would have abandoned the run and Air (Pick City) Prescott would have been front and center in the offense. This obvious intentional blown call kept that from happening. Matthew Stafford said it best about AT&T Stadium: "Home cookin'!"

The stupidity of this thread -

This happened in the 1st quarter with the Colts leading 3 to 0
Shultz recovered
Colts still went up 10 to 7 when they got the ball back

1) Schultz's knee and forearm were both down before the ball came out.
2) Just because the defender pulled his arm away from his body does not mean he did not have possession. In fact he does not actually lose possession until the defender gets the final rip by which time his hip was also down.
3) Schultz and the guy who came diving in had dual possession. You can clearly see both their arms intertwined wrapped around the ball. I think all know what the rules say when there's joint possession.
4) People who dislike the Cowboys will claim it was a favorable call which changed the whole game and be mad.. Good.

The ball isn't loose until the defender snaps his hands free. At that point Shultz's knee is down. Who recovered that anyway?

This dude's a liar anyway.. He claimed the defender "gave up as soon as the ref blew the whistle." Yet here you can clearly see him and Schultz still tusslin for the ball while the ref is running in blowing the whistle and emphatically pointing to the ground.

And I'd rather compete honorably.

Wow. Plain video showing you the ball was out of his possession before either was down. It's not about "out," it's possession. It was tucked and then pried untucked.
It appears not everyone sees it that way at in
In fact it looked like he was clearly down to me and the colts obviously didn’t think the video was that clear either

That's his schtick. He swears the refs favor the Cowboys even though the Cowboys are annually one of the two or three most penalized teams in the league and their opponents are ALSO among the least penalized teams when they play the Cowboys. You get used to it. Most of the time I just ignore it.. but sometimes it's fun to just call it out for what it is.. pure unadulterated trolling..

He started this thread to bust the balls of all the people who perpetually refuse to see the truth, when a call does go against us legitimately. Some people cry conspiracy, or just refuse to believe that our guy got beat, or whatever, even when they're shown irrefutable evidence. Marcus always says (and rightfully, IMO) that you can't use still photos as evidence in these type of plays, because they don't show the sequence of events...And a few posts into this thread, he posts a very convoluted picture as evidence. IMO, he did this intentionally, to try to get those same people to say you can't use a still photo.

Marcus is most definitely a Cowboys fan. He just prefers to root for the team without wearing blinders.

Yes, fun. Doesn't seem like a lot of people responding in here are experiencing fun. Actually seems like a lot of angry, emotional souls with no self-control. Kinda Scrooge-ist, and during the holidays, no less. The Hallmark channel might be beneficial.

Key is game momentum, and I have seen several times how one play changes the entire momentum of a game, you have as well.

changing momentum isn’t what’s at discussion here

I thought we were the beneficiaries of a few close calls yesterday that we don't normally get. This is one of them (although it did appear that we recovered). The pass interference on the DB covering Brown was another. The interception that was called incomplete was another. Not saying any of those were the wrong calls, but they were calls that could have been ruled either way on the field IMO.

I expected this thread from MarcusRock since he feels he has to defend the officials any time fans point out the team getting jobbed, which seems to happen more often than when we come out on the plus side of officiating. Even in this game, there are a couple of instances that could be pointed out where we didn't benefit. On the interception by Gilmore, he clearly made illegal contact with Gallup to keep him from being able to complete his route. And the broadcasters pointed out how Ryan was still between the tackles on a throwaway that should have been intentional grounding. (That missed call actually could have changed the complexion of the game if we had not sacked Ryan on the next play.)
