The refs' "missed" fumble on Schultz changed the entire complexion of the game

It's consistent with how they've called fumbles in the past. It's like "continuation" in basketball where if it starts to come out and does in the process of the player going down, they give credit for a fumble. Here's one they called on Zeke. Ball starts to come out, he touches down and then the ball comes free from his body. It's consistent.

Huh?

Down is down and the play is over. There is no such thing as continuation in football. The question is whether or not he has possession when he is down by contact. The ball is in his hand when the elbow hits the ground.

I would need to see a couple other angles on this to say one way or another.

It really helps in analyzing video to be able to go frame by frame, back and forth.

I've watched it a half dozen times, but I can't tell, because I can't catch the precise timing of events at different locations. Maybe it's because I'm doing this on a tv instead of a phone, so it's a wider field of view.

I'm going to disagree. Read But like, a friendly disagreement. Because I'm glad it wasn't called.
A fumble call will only be reviewed or reversed if there is a clear recovery by the other team. There was no review because Shultz re-gained possession of the ball. This has been pointed out a ridiculous number of times for this thread to still be going.

MarcusRock and Calpolytechnique both have been exposed as nothing more than trolls in this thread.

How sad does your life have to be to create a thread claiming it changed the game in our favor when we won by almost 40 AND Schultz recovered the "fumble" which is why Saturday didn't bother to challenge it.

It's sort of awkward to even watch 2 people argue a moot point for 12 pages already. It's just toxic.

Here is the photo of the ball out. Schultz barely has one hand on the ball with the Colts player pouncing on it with 2 hands. The Colts player let go once the ref right there immediately blew his whistle vehemently saying Schultz was down. He clearly wasn't. Egregious non-call.

Dont you literally get mad at anyone posting still photos on this site? lol

 Why didn’t the Mayor of Indianapolis challenge ? Or was he still busy going around shaking hands ?

Can't believe this is on page 12(yes I am contributing). A total total total total moot and stupid comment by the OP.
First of all the ball was recovered. By Cowboys. So what's the point? Other than wanting to beotch about a Cowboys win and diminsh it. And why?

He says there is conspiracy....yet Cowboys are the.most penalized team in the league ....at home!!!!

So the original post was nothing but a brain faart meaningless rant with no purpose

Why did we rush to the line then in the standard snap before they challenge move? I had people arriving then so I honestly missed the play.

You have no idea and asking the question doesn't make it so. We don't know why they did or did not do anything and you do not get to speak for MM.

You actually whimpered when you typed that.

? Lol. Not sure why the attitude. And thanks for not answering the question.

Didn’t he recover the ball. So what if it was then. Would have been close. The knee hit the ground while it was being pulled out.

You saw the truth, not what your brain told you to see as part of some ego self-preservation thing. Glad there's still a few of us out there.
Ok it was a fumble and schultz recovered. Dallas ball. You win i guess?

Playing devil's advocate here for a minute. Marcus DOES have a point in one sense. IF the refs had originally rules the play a fumble there might not have been conclusive video evidence to overturn it. And even though Schultz and the defender both ended up kind of co-possessing it on the ground if they HAD ruled it a fumble they also COULD have said that the defender had it for a split second and Schultz came in later. Then New York could have just said they don't see anything that would lead them to overturn the call on the field. Colts ball.. and maybe the Cowboys only win by 28 instead of 35. By calling him down the officials on the field robbed Goodell's goons back in New York a chance to stick it to the Cowboys. What do you bet that crew doesn't get to do another one of our games all year?

If you have a DirecTV DVR the key is to pause just before the moment you want to see.. then use the FF key to move ahead frame by frame instead of trying to stop it at just the right instant. This method makes it much easier.
