The Jets beat the PAts today in NE b/c they attacked the hell outta Brady....blitz blitz blitz...

AdamJT13;1158801 said:I thought just the opposite. Several times, he tried to explode through the hole, but it would quickly disappear.

Rack;1158277 said:Witten is great at getting open, but he couldn't make a light pole miss in the open field.
Rack;1158814 said:I dunno, he might have "tried hard" running into piles, but there were some plays where he had a hole and didn't "hit it" like he did earlier in the year.
Don't know if he's hurt or what, but he's not running like he did the first 1/4 of the season. He left yards on the field today.

TEK2000;1158820 said:Well.. Bill Parcells has been bragging on how he is more patient now than he used to be in waiting for the play to develop. Since you're blaming Zimmer for Roy I guess you could blame Parcells for how you disagree with how he's running.
Such as ... when?
I remember one play that looked like it might have gotten more yards, but that's it.
Rack;1158277 said:Mike Zimmer... turning good players into average players since 2000.
LaTunaNostra;1158345 said:I was pleased with Owens today - did you see his celebration after his TD?
There WASN'T one..and no sidelines "action", and no guff to Tony (that we saw) because he only had 2 receptions and fewer than 20 yards in the first half. He may even realize how much heat Terry has been taking off him all year...first half he was doubled a lot.
Owens looked today like he 'got it'.
That's REAL good news.
A couple of drops doesn't bother me...not one whit, IF he plays like the team player he played like today.
Rack;1158277 said:That play where Roy gave up the TD run to Leinart is EXACTLY why we need to GROZ. He's got the players more worried about technique and NOT giving up plays that they don't MAKE plays themselves.
The rookie Roy wouldn't of hesitated like today's Roy did. The rookie Roy would of come up and knocked Leinart's block off.
Mike Zimmer... turning good players into average players since 2000.
Also..
If the injury is as serious as I think it is, Greg Ellis' career is over. He's too old to come back 100% from an achilles tear. He'll never be the same pass rusher again. As it is, he was only solid in that area anyway (although he was having a monster game today). Sucks, but that's pro football sometimes.
Anyone else getting tired of TO dropping passes? A long TD doesn't erase all the drops.
JuJo seems to be running tentatively again. Earlier in the year he was patient in waiting for the hole to open up, but when it was there he would explode through it. He's not exploding anymore. He left yards on the field today.
Romo... nuff said.
Witten is great at getting open, but he couldn't make a light pole miss in the open field.
(watching the Saints game)... Copper just lost the game for the Saints.
MBIII is the real deal.
Glad to see Keylon Kincade get some carries. He's not real gifted physically, but he has great vision.
Anyone else notice our pass rush completely disappear (almost) after Ellis got hurt? Ware needs to learn to get pressure on the QB CONSISTENTLY. With Zimmer around, I don't know if that'll happen.
Jason Hatcher needs to quit dancing and get after the QB. He doesn't attack, he stands up out of his stance and puts some weak arse moves on the OL and gets nowhere. Use that size/speed ratio and ATTACK the freakin' QB!
Time to find out if Carpenter can play.
I don't like the way we are using Roy either.Rack;1158326 said:There was no one to cover.
Again, the Rookie Roy wouldn't of hesitated, He would of attacked and knocked Leinart's block off.
InmanRoshi;1159136 said:This team can't afford to play with a 3 man secondary just so Roy can pad his stats. If Roy can't play against the pass, just convert him to LB and get it over with. Of course, he'll have to start learning how to take on lead blockers, but no one gets a free ride.
