I thought Jerry had learned his lesson with the Joey Galloway fiasco. I CANNOT BELIEVE he did this. Anyone who likes Roy Williams is a UT homer and that's all there is to it. He has no burst! He has no game!

***? We couldn't have landed Boldin for a friggin' first, third, and sixth rounder?!?!

These are the types of deals that can be a team's undoing. I actually think Jerry may have it in his mind that Roy Williams is going to become our dominant #1 after Owens retires. Ridiculous. He is gangly and slow and cannot get any separation whatsoever. And when he is lucky enough to see some daylight (likely because the corner tripped over his own two feet), he drops balls faster than anyone.

Let me put it this way. Our lame *** safety Roy Williams can cover our new Roy Williams one-on-one any day of the week if that tells you something.

Here's what we really need...

1) A head coach who isn't as soft as Flozell's midsection. The penalties, the ridiculously awful special teams, the total lack of fire. All Wade and his "I want to be everyone's best friend" routine.

2) A ****ing offensive line that actually gives a damn. Thanks for letting us know that you're going to do better, Bigg Davis. But as has been the case with this team all too often over the last couple of years, their talk is worthless, just PLAY SOME ****ING BALL!!!

3) A defense that comes close to playing up to their ability. Again, a lot of this is on Wade. Newsflash: Our defense SUCKS at every level!!

4) And one more newsflash: Last year's team would kick the living bejeezus out of this year's team. Know that.

I drove that bus and I am not a Texas homer. In fact, I was pulling for OU last week and Dallas can back me up on that because I PMed him.

WR has been a need for a long time now. Now we have a good one to compliment TO. Get over it.

Here we go again.........

1) We already had 2 #3's in next year's draft-the one we're giving up is our's, NOT Cleveland's(or Detroit's...whichever one is the 3th or 4th rounder).

2) B/c of the Pacman suspension, we have 2 6th's now(the other from the Fergy trade)-so we had one to burn.

3) Detroit gave us a 7th rounder as part of the deal.

4) Jerry would have drafted a WR in the 1st round next year anyways, who wouldn't have even made an impact right away anyways.

5) TO *is* 35, and starting to get long in the tooth. Ultimately, trading for a stud WR in his prime made alot of sense.

Take this advice:

1. Get in a car.
2. Turn the car on.
3. Drive the car up a cliff.
4. Drive off the cliff.

Roy Williams is a great trade.

I love Boldin. I was one of the few people on his bandwaggon coming out of Florida State when no one else was.

Especially after he dropped that 4.7 at the combine.

But Roy Williams is better than him from a talent stand point and I think putting Roy on the big stage is going to make him shine even more.

Good trade for both teams.

We overpayed a little. But we also filled a hole on this team and have a franchise receiver for many years.

Thank you Jerry.

It looks like he is still in Stage 1 of the disease that others have been talking about.

So how did Randy Moss look in Oakland before landing in New England? Perhaps the problem with Williams is that he's been surrounded by an underachieving team the whole time. I saw him play at UT, and I saw his catches against the Cowboys several years ago. He will make a huge positive impact here.

Regarding his price, yes it is steep, but it also depends on who else was in the bidding war. We have lots of draft picks next year...let's not forget.

I like the trade, it is not like we are giving up 2 #1's as we did with Galloway and in the meantime we get a very talented WR who has been stuck on a very bad team. I think the combo of TO and Williams will help open things up even more for this offense.

I'm not going to attack you for your opinion, you're entitled to it.

I'll just point out one inconsistancy:

You criticize Roy Williams' speed but mention Anquan Boldin - who is much slower.

Williams has averaged 14.8 yards per catch for his career

Boldin has averaged 13.2 yards per catch for his career

Both have averaged 7 touchdowns per season.

So I think that part of your criticism is off-base.
