The state's population is over 4.3 million.
Combining French and French Canadian descendants, you are misidentifying 83% of the state's population makeup as Cajun.P
arish.I never denied that Cajun citizenry (sp?) doesn't influence the rest of the state. Please point out where I did.
You made an analogy about your family members who are Cajun and associated your personal experience with the entire state. That is an incorrect application. It is an association which is stated way too often by way too many non-Louisianians.Again, did I say that?
You, yourself, is saying "it". The southern part is composed of swamp land. Is this how you view the state of Louisiana?

The vast majority of swamp and/or marsh lands exists in the coastal areas of Louisiana (i.e. below the red line). These areas, along with New Orleans itself, is most often depicted in television, movies, etc. Of course, in reality, most of the state is not composed of wetlands. Even though the southern part of the state is home to most of the wetlands, a good portion of even the southern half of the state isn't one big swamp. However, it's a widely held misconception which will not die.Good.
I am 44 years old.
I have spent all of my life in this state.
I have either visited or driven through
all 64 parishes, in some cases many times.
In your opinion, which of the two of us do you believes knows the state of Louisiana best?
