Only a true MORON or Skin homer would ever think they are as good as we are. THIS one is both.

Haha, but the great thing about NFC East games is that the best team doesn't always win. Even in our best superbowl year, the 1-15 Cowboys got their lone victory against us.

Interesting. Now let's look at the passing game.

Tavares Jackson against the Cowboys
6/19 72 yards 3 sacks 0 td's 0 int's

Tavares Jackson against the Commanders
25/41 220 yards 1 sack 1td 2 int's

Jackson was carving the Commanders secondary in the 2nd half and who knows how higher those numbers would be if Gibbs would not have thrown that flag.

Let's be fair here. Gregg Williams changed his strategy to allow Jackson the underneath stuff. I don't think that was the right move, and things got a little too close for comfort there, but the Skins were not playing the same D in the second half. Jackson's numbers were inflated.

So are you implying that your 8-7 team is better than 13-2 Cowboys right now?

Kinda like what Cowboys did against your team during second half and Campbell ending with 300+ yards.

Maybe so but one could also argue that the Skins' success has come as a result of facing weaker opponents. I think if Washington makes the playoffs, they have a rude awakening in Seattle because I see Todd Collins throwing around 3 INT's in that game.

Seattle is the definition of "weaker opponent." Their record is inflated because they have won one game against a team with a winning record while the Skins would have survived the NFC East. That being said, I would rather play the Bucs than the Seahawks because the Hawks are the one NFC playoff team we haven't faced yet, so I don't really know what to expect.

Actually that is exactly what I was not implying.

I am tempted to disagree because that game was still somewhat close. But it's been a while, so I don't really remember what kind of D the Cowboys were playing.

Well, you quoted a comment stating that only true moron would believe skins are better than the cowboys with the best team doesn't always win in NFCE and we did beat you so there is that subtle insinuation.

How this myth keeps getting propagated is beyond me. The Cowboys earned their lone win against the Skins in 1989. In 1989, The Skins finished 10-6 and out of the playoffs.

We play prevent defense in second half, allowing campbell to throw underneath stuff, high completion stuff (although I don't believe his comp percentage was all that great). campbell's ypa wasn't all that great, ~5.5 or so.

He had 54 attempts and I remember Wade mentioning the Skins threw them off with their gameplan. I doubt that happens again.

Obviously too subtle for a dumb Skins fan like me.

Huh, you're right. It's been ingrained in my memory as if what I said happened. Still, the point remains that NFC East games are often unpredictable.

It's not just you. I've heard many people online and in real life say the same thing. I guess it makes for a better story.

You might have started playing prevent in the fourth quarter when you went up 28-16, but we still had the lead late into the third.

After Dallas took the lead, Campbell threw for 178 yards more than half of his passing yards in a little over a quarter's worth of action.

Ok, but I doubt when the lead was 14-10 that Dallas shifted into prevent. When it was 28-16 and time was running out, sure.

For those of you doubting the skins resurgent defense don't forget they held the best RB in the league to a mere 27 yards and stymied the vikings high powered offense!

I know this sundays game don't mean anything, but this is something to keep in mind if we meet them again in a few weeks in a much more meaningful game. If we can't run the ball we are going to be in a lot of trouble...

When are you going to have your mouth surgically removed from Gibb's jock???

Everyone of your post has been about how great the Piggys are, why dont you just come out and admit your a Commander fan. Do you really think we are that stupid on this board???
