That's a funny way to spin a two-game winning streak, particularly when the last one was very nearly a loss...

Well 45-0 means you guys already ran up the score though. ;) One time we played Greenbay, and our kicker had a chance to tie a record by making a field goal, and their players got mad at us for running up the score, when that wasn't even the case. The score wasn't even in the 40's. ;) Anyone have the stats for that game?

50%? You're coming into our house where you haven't won in 3 years, won't be playing your best WR, your best corner, and likely your starting NT and center. This is a must win game for us. I don't doubt you guys will fight particularly your defense and the backups...but all the intangibles favor us here as they will favor you if we meet in the playoffs.
Actually we lost there in 2005 and 2006, but swept you in 2004, which puts your haven't won there in 3 years comment in the trash.

Actually Fed Ex opened in 1997 as Jack Kent Cooke Stadium.

We lost there in 1997.
Won in 1998, 1999, 2000, & 2001.
Lost again in 2001.
Won in 2003 & 2004.
Lost in 2005 & 2006.

I believe if you do the math you will find that we actually hold 6 to 4 advantage over you in "your house." Sort of makes it our playground.

Expect a huge Cowboys fan base. Don't expect to win. Even if we sit a lot of people I think we're coming to win this game, not just go through the motions.

Good luck with the intangibles, we all know who the better team is. The one that a few weeks ago you came on here and begged to destroy the Skins so the Gibbs era would be gone forever.

Remember?

I do.

I know math my friend, and 2007-2004 = 3 years. I did not say we have won 3 straight against you there. I know the overall record but the fact is that its been 3 years since your last victory here.

Yes I remember, and I still believe Gibbs isn't the long term answer toward a total rebuild which will probably need to come sooner or later...but I can't help but admire that we are playing our best ball right now after all that has happened.

After playing your starters to within 5 points at your house, I'd be surprised if this one comes down to less then 2 scores particularly if you rest your entire 1st string lineup in the second half.

This is the best. Commanders-Cowboys with something meaningful on the line.

Congrats, but you haven't won in 2007 yet, so counting it is pure fantasy at this point. You very well could if we play a skeleton staff.

Doesn't change the fact that your house isn't a home field advantage for you at all. Here let me show the difference.

In Washington (all time, all stadiums) we lead the all time series 24-23. We win more on your turf that you do in the series. Now let's look at a real protection of home turf.

In Dallas (all time, all stadiums) we lead the all time series 32-12-2. That's how you do it.

Not quite...we have to win this week and against Seattle for that to happen. The best is when both teams have equal stakes and equal consequences for a a loss.

I won't be happy if we win Sunday, content for a day or so, but until we beat them at their best and with equal stakes then its nothing to brag about IMO

Uhhh, only your team has something meaningful in this game. The result of this game doesn't mean squat to our team, other than our win/loss record vs your team.

I'm aware of the overall won/lost record, and the stretch between 1997 and 2004 was an absolute nightmare for us, but we don't do badly in the high-stakes games against you guys. Four that I know of off the top of my head where both teams had alot on the line for the game.

1972 NFC Championship
1982 NFC Championship
1983 @ Dallas 31-10 (battle for NFC East crown between two 12-2 teams)
2005 @ Wash 35-7 for final playoff berth

Saying that something meaningful is on the line doesn't mean that either the Skins win it or the Boys win it. It's important for one team. It's on the line.

If you're going to the game be prepared for the legions of Dallas fans that will be saying we suck and that we will lose to Seattle after the game.

It will take until mid January for there to be a cold hard reality check for one team or the other.

Who said anything about who is going to win? You made a statement like this game is meaningful to Cowboys and it isn't. Only your team has some on the line.

Oh, I'll be there. Cowboys fans usually have a pretty good turnout too, so it should be fun.

The only problem I see :D is that according to ES:

1) The Commanders are cursed.
2) The Cowboys are lucky.

Given these two ES factoids, The Commanders don't have a chance. ;)

For those of you doubting the skins resurgent defense don't forget they held the best RB in the league to a mere 27 yards and stymied the vikings high powered offense!

I know this sundays game don't mean anything, but this is something to keep in mind if we meet them again in a few weeks in a much more meaningful game. If we can't run the ball we are going to be in a lot of trouble...

HAHA are you serious?

Peterson hasnt accomplished ANYTHING to surpass Tomlinson as the best RB in the league. NOTHING.

we'll be playing to win, I like our backups vs. your's, as you are playing the majority of your backups anyways

Yeah, no kidding. Half of the Skins starters are either banged up or on IR. Seems a lot of people are forgetting that -- including Vegas.

I mean, c'mon, Brad Johnson is only 2 years older than Todd Collins, and is actually proven, although last year was nothing to brag about
