The speed of Ezekial Elliott

Anyone thats not a Zeke apologist can see who the better runner is and who is more dangerous with the football. Moore is no dummy so he is going to keep having Pollard more involved.

HommieT24 is the biggest Zeke defender in the house and he cant stand to see whats unfolding before his eyes. Look how angry he gets. Its not like this is some other teams RB, its the Cowboys back and the poor guy cant get excited about it.

His hero Zeke isnt what he thought he was and he cant handle being wrong. Just like half the other little boys on here that cant handle being wrong.

Dude what grade are you in? You honestly expect anyone to engage in this 5th grade pissing match you seem to want to turn every discussion into? Well maybe some people will.. I'm not interested..

Im not the guy that cant admit he was wrong. Talk about grade school nonsense.

Pollard is a hell of a back and you cant handle it.

FYI..........I engage with people all day long. Take a look at the number of my posts. I just target guys like you that lose arguments to me and arent man enough to admit they were wrong. Ill keep riding you until you do. Get used to it.

Without a doubt, first bad game Pollard has you will be all up on here talking about it.

Good luck with that.

Oh its already great fun. Got you on the run. Just watching you run around the board angrily trying to defend Zeke is hilarious.

The best was when you tried the old "cant we all get along, its great for the team" angle. LOL

Sorry, not going to happen. There will be no peace after all the harsh BS you said to me about my opinions of Zeke and Pollard. Next time shut your mouth and listen instead of running your mouth.

So you apparently take pride in being an internet moron? Well okay.. enjoy.. These will be the last word I send in your direction.

4.4 is cooking for a running back

Zeke

A Missouri state high hurdles champ in HS, thinking he won it four times.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
John Riggins twice the Kansas State 100 yard champ a 9.8 guy, also won the long jump, over 22 feet. Obviously he was lighter in those days. Did see a video, dude was yoked.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Remember our old DB Mel Renfro, well he was a running back and a stud 13.7 hurdler and a 25-10 long jumper. Scored at the NCAA helping Oregon win the meet. He also ran a leg on a world record 4x1 team at Oregon, very rare for a college to pull that off. Also on that team Jerry Tarr and Mike Gaetcher both had pro football shots, ah...busts!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alvin "only had one play" Harper, was a stud high jumper at Tennessee, 7-2 is world class.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Remember our DB Terrence Newman, he was a Big12 100 champ while at Kansas State a 10.20 guy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hollywood Henderson was a 9.5 100 guy and a triple jumper at Langston College. No doubts he ran on the 4x1 relay also. Not sure why he played linebacker, hmmm?
Couple observations….
Mike Gaechter was far from a bust. He played 7 years with the Cowboys before tearing his Achilles in ‘69. He had five INT’s his rookie season (when was the last time we had anybody with five in a season) and had a 101 yard INT return which was a 48 year old record. He was a Roy Williams type of hitter and hit Boyd Dollar of the Packers so hard in the ‘66 Championship game he knocked him out of the Super Bowl. He was a starter on a team that was two plays away from two Super Bowls and the forever named Landry trophy
And I don’t know how you could ever recite players with extraordinary speed and track backgrounds in Cowboys history and at least not mention that the Fastest Man In The World played for the Cowboys and single handily changed the game forever by forcing opposing teams to play zone defense.
Who is the childish guy with the childish insults? We have rules about that kind of stuff.
MODERATORS!!!!!!!!
As a Pro RB, speed has never been a selling point of Zeke's. He's not slow by any means but his power and vision were the things that advantaged him when he was identifiably an elite RB.
I disagree. His vision was great but when the defense made a mistake he had the speed to take it to the house. Now those plays that would have been tds his rookie year are now a 12 yard gain.
If this play happens now Zeke runs into 43 for 15 yards or so instead of a td.
How would Emmitt had looked if he had played when Tony Dorsett was there or Herschel Walker, yep....slow.
Let's cool the right/wrong thing until later way way too early to play that now.
You're right Gaechter was better than I gave him credit for.
I have talked about Bullet Bob Hayes who has always been the fastest human to ever play football many times. I have a trivia question for ya.
While in college he lost two 200m races to what fellow NFLers?
Fun fact....Gale Sayers older bro Roger once beat Hayes in a 100 yards, yep...he was a world class sprinter. Gale a great HS long jumper 24-11ish.
Bullet Bob's 10.06 on a dirt track over 50 years ago has never been bettered by any footballer.
I dont think you have a bases for what my arguments with him have been.
Zeke looks slow compared to most backs. More than just speed for Pollard. A more skilled RB.
Doesn;t matter.....week three....way too early to be...see told ya so.
Wrong about Zeke looking slow compared to most backs. Totally disagree. He looks slow compared to where he was. Pollard is faster but not more skilled.
Heard on the radio zeke is now at 4.8 . He is not the same . He also lost the elusiveness to have defenders miss . Once this happens it is hard to reverse. He is now reduced to power running when needed and as a FB defending dak. A very expensive player but with the guaranteed money i think jerry wants to milk it .
There is no way of knowing any NFLers 40 time at this stage of the career. Obviously not a 4.4 anymore, but don't buy 4.8.
I am holding out on being too critical of Zeke it really is too early for that, but......no doubt he has lost a step, not debatable at all.
Pollard runs like a hungry man trying to feed his family. Zeke runs like he is thinking about being on a cruise ship in the Caribbean.
Zeke's lack of speed now really is obvious when he runs outside like a sweep or pitchout from Dak. He doesn't have the speed anymore to outrun defenders while looking to make a cut. His strength now is going off tackle and just running forward looking for his blockers. And of course his blocking. So he is still an asset, but not the one we drafted. Leave the outside running to Pollard. I don't see a contract extension in his future here unless he is willing to take a BIG paycut and team friendly.
:laugh:
Once upon a time.
He for sure is not 4.4 now.
Anyway, his official Combine time was 4.47
I'm fine with him either way
I'm not sure Jerry didn't restructure his contract to make room in the cap. That could cause Dallas to keep him longer than he is worth.
I believe he runs 4.8 because even when the oline open up a hole he can't outrun a LB.
