Alright ladies and gents...here it is...the greatest thread to ever grace the Off-Topic Zone.

Post up favorite locations, recipes, styles, restaurants...all of the above.

Some of my favorite tacos are to be had at District Taco in Falls Church, Virginia. Pretty good flavor and interesting combos. My absolute favorite are the Al Pastor tacos...pulled pork with cool pineapple. A little tabasco and they're the perfect sweet/spicy combo.

Go!

I hope everyone knows that using pre-made taco shells means you aren't making tacos. You're making crap.

Do you own a tortilla press?

You misunderstood, I don't mean store bought corn torillas. I mean the crappy taco kits they sell. Get some corn torillas and fry the shells is all I meant.

If you are looking for an authentic sit down restaurant, there is a chain here in Charleston, SC called La Hacienda. I love everything on the menu... Just so flavorful, and everything is quite inexpensive. I haven't been out West yet to get real Mexican cuisine, but here on the East, I think this is as good as it gets.

If you are looking for fast food, Moe's is the way to go. I love their tacos and burritos, much better than Qdoba and Chipotle, plus their homemade sauces are much better.

I never get those. For one, they are more expensive and you get less, plus they taste horrible. Also, if you are making Mexican at home, make your own guacamole. It is very simple to make and taste way better than any store brought kind I have tasted. Here is a simple recipe I always use:

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/guacamole/

Ingredients

3 avocados - peeled, pitted, and mashed
1 lime, juiced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup diced onion
3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
2 roma (plum) tomatoes, diced
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)
Directions

In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt. Mix in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic. Stir in cayenne pepper. Refrigerate 1 hour for best flavor, or serve immediately.

I approve this message:bow:

My wife and I make a really good fish taco - tilapia breaded with panko bread crumbs & pan fried then brushed with honey-cumin glaze, topped with tri-color slaw and chipotle sauce... all stuffed in a tortilla.

For a restaurant, I really like http://puretaqueria.com/

I think the Cowboys need to improve their offensive line play. They also need to make sure Dez improves in his knowledge of the offense. And it would help greatly to get a consistent pass rush.
