Not a taco, but close enough. I ate a a Chuys last week & lucked into being there when they had their "wild burrito" as a daily special:

Wild Burrito – A flour tortilla stuffed with slow-roasted beef, charro beans, Monterey jack cheese and green chiles, smothered with Hatch Green Chile and Queso Sauces. Served with green chile rice.

If you like spicy foods, then this is a must try.

My calorie count just went up by looking at this.

I think the Cowboys need to improve their offensive line play. They also need to make sure Dez improves in his knowledge of the offense. And it would help greatly to get a consistent pass rush.

Serious, serious kudos for the hijack. Absolutely brilliant. Almost makes me want to not comment on tacos.

For those making their own tacos, do yourself a favor. Find a tortilla factory in your town and sample their corn tortillas. The stuff bought in stores is more expensive and not near as tasty as great corn tortillas.

You don't have to fry them until hard, or fry them at all. If you use great corn tortillas for soft tacos they will be amazing.

The great thing about tacos is they are so versatile. Down in Cancun Mexico they make fruit tacos with bananas, mangoes, papaya, etc. You may think this sounds awful, but they are fantastic.

In Tucson, as far as a place to get great tacos, I highly recommend El Taco Tote. Every ingredient is absolutely delicious. Wittenacious can back me up on this one.

I didn't know you lived in Charleston. I live in Summerville. And you're right about "La Ha". My office is always going there to get really good Mexican food and the price is really good.

This place right here has the best tacos Al Carbon ever. They used to have a restaurant down on I35 near Inwood Rd., not sure what happen to it.

It is so dang spicy, you will burn off half of them just eating it. The Hatch Green Chili sauce is potent, but awesome.

Oooh! I DO have one place to recommend actually! There is an amazing, small place in Alexandria, near Crystal City, but in the Del Ray area that has AWESOME duck tacos, or carnitas. Taqueria Poblano is the name. YUM!

I'm planning to make it my business to go to Yucatan's next week when I get to FW. Maybe they didn't survive because they weren't good locations or too much competition in the area?
