The term "team cancer" needs to be removed from everyone's vocabulary

Seriously, does no one on this board actually HAVE cancer themselves...or family members who have it?

My mother had breast cancer 7 years ago and I don't particularly enjoy being reminded of it every time I read a thread on this board.

It's completely unnecessary for two reasons:

1. Do we really need to use such an extreme term to describe a problem player?

2. There is no such thing as a "team cancer." There is no such thing as one player who can ruin an entire team. Anyone who thinks one player can bring down a team of 53 men all by himself is a complete idiot.

The only cancer that needs to be cut out is this offensive, idiotic term from everyone's vocabulary.

I agree, I hardly find a man that has contributed towards 38 TDs in his 3 years with our team as a cancer.

I think his deficiencies get magnified exponentially as a result of his polarizing nature, however his production also gets lost in the muck.

His drops, his untimely interviews, his insecure behavior, etc whatever - don't hurt our team nearly as much as

penalties (blast the o-line, they collectively played worse than any unit last year across the board),

turnovers (tony romo's wreckless play and demeanor throughout the year) , and a lack of forced turnovers (that overpaid secondary, that can't seem to make any plays).

The bigger picture here is that we are poorly disciplined team that has an organization searching desperately for a scapegoat, but maybe we are starting to realize these guys we've fallen in love with so much and defended so tirelessly - aren't very good.

I for one stand by the guy that produces, and works harder than anyone else. Even in spite of the self-inflicted circus atmosphere, besides I'm a football fan - I stopped caring about perception a while ago.

What happens for those 3 hours on Sunday is what matters, everything else is, well - the reason this board exists to this day.
