Every time someone from the TFC says 'boo' in a thread you write 'good post'.
:lmao2:

I really wish I could have tricked you into the same deal as 5 made earlier tonight.

Duane Thomas was a team cancer. So is Terrell Owens.

And I have lost a brother, mother and father to the disease.

Yet the term doesn't offend me and nor should it offend anyone else when it's used in the context of a football message board to describe a player who is disruptive to the team.

Just stop already.

You put nothing up and you get nothing from me. A one sided bet is a bet between a man and a mouse. Which were you in the other thread?

And just for clarification.

I put up nothing, lol.

While you put up your acct on here that Terrell Owens will be a Dallas Cowboy in 2009.

Someone is upset that I tricked their GF into saying they would be leaving CZ if Terrell Owens gets cut.

Your GF let her pride get the best of her.

It is just too funny.

I have had family members, including my father, die of cancer. I take no offense to the term as is used in this context. One of the beauties of the english language is that one word can have many different meanings.

My Dad and Grandmother both had cancer (God rest both of their souls). Having said that, the OP, although entitled to his opinion, is being a touch too sensitive.

1. Do we really need to use such an extreme term to describe a problem player?

Seriously, does no one on this board actually HAVE cancer themselves...or family members who have it?

My mother had breast cancer 7 years ago and I don't particularly enjoy being reminded of it every time I read a thread on this board.

It's completely unnecessary for two reasons:

1. Do we really need to use such an extreme term to describe a problem player?

2. There is no such thing as a "team cancer." There is no such thing as one player who can ruin an entire team. Anyone who thinks one player can bring down a team of 53 men all by himself is a complete idiot.

The only cancer that needs to be cut out is this offensive, idiotic term from everyone's vocabulary.

My grandfather died 2 weeks ago of cancer and my mom has battled both lung and breast cancer. I'm a physical therapist who regularly works with patients who have cancer. Having said that. I have NO PROBLEM with the word being used. We all understand why it's used. A "team cancer" is someone negative who spreads his negative stuff around like a disease - ultimately destroying the team. We all know it's not the same as ACTUAL cancer.
What's next? Every vet or someone who lost someone in war being offended by a Zone member saying "That game was a war!" or "What a battle!" or "We got killed out there!" Give me a break.
Lighten up America and try not to be offended by every little thing.

I just re-read this and it may sound a bit harsh, but I'm just tired of the sensitivity and PC stuff.

No kidding. I don't see "insensitive" baseball announcers shying away from "suicide squeeze." Henceforth, TO shall be derided as a "team bunion."
Do you have any idea how painful bunions can be? Have you ever had a bunion? People like you disgust me.

typical internets. Instead of taking this guy seriously about his mother's cancer battle, you make fun of him. Everyone's a tough guy behind a mouse and keyboard.

My dad has battled cancer, I have lost two very close friends to cancer, I have a freind right now that is in a battle for her life..........But the word does not bother me being used to describe T.O. and his affect on this team.

May I suggest another.....Team Diarrhea.

Team oozing boil.....

Team hemorrhoid.

Team bloody flux.

Team constipation.

Jerry jones could garner a lot of goodwill by cutting this disease out.

I understand what you're saying and a lot of it makes perfect sense. However, here's an example of someone using a term well out of context. In this case, the term used was "soldier". This clown can only wish he was half the man of the real soldiers that protect the freedom of people like him every single hour of every day.
