The Three-Tree Package: How the Cowboys Could Revolutionize the Red zone

I know you don't participate in the Hayden bashing and it may be poor form but if that is not an indictment of our NT then I don't know what is.
Probably a position of sliiiiiiiightly more need than a second guy to throw jump balls to.

I'd rather spend both picks on defense.

There will be more than enough picks used on D between 1st and 7th rounds. One pick, or two, on offense will not derail our season. Especially because rooks after 4th round generally do not contribute right away. A freak of nature like Waller is worth a 7th, maybe even a 5th. But just my 2 cents.

That is a good idea but it needs to be a defensive player not an offensive player.

There is nothing wrong with our red zone offense. Why do we need to revolutionize it?

Since the pass defense is the weakest part of our team, either take the player with the best pass rushing ability (DL or LB) or CB that could be a good cover corner.

Trying to add a weapon to a championship calilber offense when our defense is in need of help just doesn't make a bit a sense to me.

Unless the BPA is clearly much better and a playmaker than a defensive player of need. Having said that I'm not certain we will operate that way as we do have a championship offense. Still a clearly better RB or receiver would be a conversation. An OT or G/C would also be worthy of discussion.

Still we should be able to find a DL or DB who is decent value in the first two days.

I think where we're at is that decent value on defense is fine, but any offensive pick needs to be exceptional value.

Said it better than me! Has to be a playmaker on offense or an exceptional receiver or OL esp T or C/G otherwise defense if in the same tier.
