Roster is loaded. Unless we have an injury riddled season we should be competitive in the end. I’m no Dak Stan but I’m also not a Dak hater. I sometimes find it funny how black and white the Dak comments are. Some people talk about Dak like he’s a Mahomes, Allen, Rodgers caliber and others talk about him as if he’s Quincy Carter or Chad Hutchison. With this roster Dak is good enough to win the Super Bowl. With this roster and Kellen’s “offense” gone Dak has no excuses. If he leads the league in interceptions without Moore then I’ll jump in the Dak is Quincy 2.0 crowd. But right now I feel Dak can carry us to a Super Bowl run if he plays smart. And keep in mind I am not a Dak Stan, I’m just trying to be unemotional in my assessment. Just my opinion. He’s better than Trent Dilfer and Dilfer won with an awesome defense, good coaching and few mistakes. That gives me hope that Dak can do that this year.

Every single year we get threads like this.lol Last year was actually set up perfectly for us to get to the SB. If we hadn't played subpar after Thanksgiving we might have caught the Eagles. We really only had 2 teams we had to worry about and we couldn't even stumble to a championship game. The defense is set but it was good enough last year. This season as always is going to come down to the offense and there are still question marks with it. And every year some teams go up and some teams go down. we have no idea if the NFC will be a tougher conference this year. Plus the Cowboys always play better when they are underrated. When expectations are high, that's when they fold. If this year is truly different then they won't. The defense should make us contenders but we'll see about the rest.;

This team is full with a lot of young guys who are our best players, mixed in with some vets. These young guys bring the attitude, the nastiness, the hunger, and they back it up!!!! Can anyone remember our players being this good, mean etc in the Garrett regime? I feel like our players were in the mold of our head coach.

With guys like Quinn, Harris, Mike, they seem to love this atmosphere which is suited well for this team. So how about it, are you in love with how this team conpetes and scraps, or do you just want them to shut up and play? Please give your thoughts.....

How long have you been watching the cowboys? just curious.

On the surface they look pretty good, and the nfc is unusually weak also on the surface.

I look at it realistically and logically. I think it looks like martin may hold out and not play this season, do you think that will affect the team?
Injuries can happen, the rookies although promising, may not be used as much as some think or be as good as they seem to be.
New good teams in the nfc can rise up out of nowhere.

I need to at least see this new dallas team play about 5-8 games to judge them, and really the whole season and then the playoffs. Then we will know.

What if they go 12-5 and lose in div round again, what will YOU think ??

And before I end my post, why dont you just go ahead and give a double quadruple Platinum guarantee that the cowboys will win in the div
round this season, there is a chance it could happen. You would then be giving the same guarantee that the cowboys make the playoffs as div champ.
That would show you really have confidence in this years team!

I don't understand where people have this confidence in year 9 that Prescott can "carry" the team to a Superbowl. He had two guilt edged opportunities to at least reach the NFC Championship game if not the Superbowl yet failed as a vet when falling flat on his face vs the 49ers. A better quarterback wins both games. I appreciate the roster has strengthened each season but the amount of chances he gets with really good teams seems endless. It's hard for a team to remain so strong without a top 7-8 QB in the league so when Prescott finally go away, the team will be highly unlikely to be this strong in such a weak conference. It's frustrating because the opportunity is there to be grabbed as it has been for the last 2 years.

I would be amazed if the team fails to at least reach the NFC Championship with this roster (outside of the QB) but then they didn't last season either.

I don’t think so. Just like Romo, he’s always going to go brain dead at just the right moment. Kinda like sticking little Johnny in right field the last 2 innings. The ball is always going to find your weakest link. I hope I’m wrong.

I'm not buying in until I see it in the playoffs to a Super Bowl championship.
This isn't the first deeply talented roster this team has had in the last 27 years of futility.

Not the teams fault.

Jerry is the architect that has taken 27 years to build a true contender. Which is what we finally have this year. Problem is that its fragile as the Oline is woefully thin and Tyron is sure to go down.

None of the Garrett teams ever had a good enough defense and with Garrett as the coach no way that team goes on a run and wins it all.

Very true, we had the nicest most passive players I can remember in the Garrett years. Great guys but no nastiness. Now we got some attitude, nastiness, big dawg alphas. One of my favorite moments of the last couple years is when Parsons walked in the offensive huddle of the Bucs in the playoffs. That’s what I want to see. I want to see some intimidation. I like Mazi saying “I don’t like football, I just like to hit people”. That’s what excites me about this season.

MM has completely remade this team. Love it.

I agree with you, BUT this is the first deeply talented roster that has more talent on the defense side of the ball. I still believe a dominant D( 14 or less points per game given up ) can win Super Bowls! A dominant D, will allow Dak to be more conservative with the ball, run the ball, play great D, and take what the other D gives.

I am confident in this D, but if we would have picked up Bobby Wagner for 8-10 million per year, I would have been EXTREMELY confident in this D. I hope our LBers step up this year!!!!!! I’m not talking about our DE Micah!

There's been some drastic changes, for sure.

But we have heard it all before. Almost every year. Hiring MM was a drastic change! An alleged hotshot new OC....which jerry promised us would "learn on the job".

I look forward to cheering on my Cowboys...l like I do every single year and game. I just wanna play a couple more games in Jan.
