There's been some drastic changes, for sure.

But we have heard it all before. Almost every year. Hiring MM was a drastic change! An alleged hotshot new OC....which jerry promised us would "learn on the job".

I look forward to cheering on my Cowboys...l like I do every single year and game. I just wanna play a couple more games in Jan.

SOMEONE GET THIS MAN A TISSUE FOR WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SAY: We're focusing on the TRENCHES, look at the big NT we just drafted and the others we've brought to this team over the years, the OL we have depth, may not be the greatest, but we do have some depth back there, it's a refreshing thing!!!

As I’ve gotten older. I really try to enjoy the ride. Enjoy each game. Enjoy the wins.

That still gives me the right if/when they fall short again.

But the season is great. I had a ton of fun watching the cowboys the last 2 seasons when they’re winning 12 games.

I think this is the approach everyone should have. Just enjoy the ride. Let’s not forget, this is entertainment. We all want the Cowboys to do well (I hope) but don’t get lose your love for simply enjoying each moment every season.

How long have you been watching the cowboys? just curious.

On the surface they look pretty good, and the nfc is unusually weak also on the surface.

I look at it realistically and logically. I think it looks like martin may hold out and not play this season, do you think that will affect the team?
Injuries can happen, the rookies although promising, may not be used as much as some think or be as good as they seem to be.
New good teams in the nfc can rise up out of nowhere.

I need to at least see this new dallas team play about 5-8 games to judge them, and really the whole season and then the playoffs. Then we will know.

What if they go 12-5 and lose in div round again, what will YOU think ??

And before I end my post, why dont you just go ahead and give a double quadruple Platinum guarantee that the cowboys will win in the div
round this season, there is a chance it could happen. You would then be giving the same guarantee that the cowboys make the playoffs as div champ.
That would show you really have confidence in this years team!

Stopped reading when you said Martin may miss the season. Not gonna happen!

Great post! Brother, I am ALL IN on this Dallas Cowboys team!! Could not be more excited for the defense and I feel the offense will be much quicker with the 'Texas Coast' style. Fast, shifty RBs. Quick release QB.

Remember, MM was the man calling the plays when Aaron Rogers was MVP multiple times. Now, don't get crazy, I know DP is no AR... but with the man behind the scenes calling plays IMHO it will absolutely rub off in positive ways for the offense. And DQ defense? Fuggedaboudit!!

Romo would find a way to lose. Dak doesn’t have the goods. He’s always gonna fold under pressure. You can’t build a defense that puts Dak over the hump. He processes everything too slow.

The decision to hire a real head coach and get away from a total fraud helped. Jason Garrett as OC and HC destroyed this franchise for 13 years. Over a decade of pure incompetence and hubris.

I think Dak is just good enough that if we can run the ball and play awesome defense we can win it all. I mean if Trent Dilfer, eli manning, Rex Grossman, and a few others can get there….it’s possible for Dak too with the right cast around him and stars aligning

This team does have a nice mix of vets and young guys who make plays.

But…

It all comes down to the quarterback.

Always has.

Always will.

Enthusiasm and excitement is always a good thing. Let's hope your positive attitude is rewarded with a great season as the Cowboys surpass their previous results of the past two decades.

The Cowboys have come so close at times. However, they have as good a shot as any other team to make it all the way so, perhaps, this is our year. I would love to enjoy that with my fellow posters.

Can you just imagine some of the personalities on this forum describing their joy as the Cowboys win Super Bowl LVIII?

Hopefully this website would be sturdy enough to withstand the deluge.

Them Garret years were frustrating and the team never made no progress with that dude or his staff. One season they are good the next they are bad and the next season they good rinse and repeat. Finally got some consistency with Mike as a head coach.
