If Luck is so over rated ... Who wouldn't trade him straight up right now for Tony...

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Luck is anything but overrated. I think most here would give this years and next years first for him with a contract extension.

I do not, and won't judge a man's works based on the limitations placed upon them by those around him...legacy is what builds of those efforts. I don't spoil my rooting and sportsmanship by total picture that includes a ton of variables outside of that one player's controls.

An admittance into the Super Bowl isn't all polluted by the number of trophies that are in a team's case.

Love your writing style. I would only say that in 95% of cases if a QB has not won a championship game or SB, he will find himself left out of Canton.
Enshrined in Canton is what every player strives for, lives for, dreams of. If not, why play a game that's so hard on the body...just for money?

Honestly any QB's who reach their mid thirties need to be rated on a year to year basis, if you're speaking of this year, some of those QB's should not be on any top ten, and Romo should not be in the top 20.

There are QB's who are consistent throughout their mid thirties, like Brady. But they are the exception, rare exception, not the rule.

Is this the fist top ten QB list ever (in the last decade plus anyways) to not have Peyton on it? Or the first one ever to have Eli rated higher than Peyton?

Not saying Peyton should be on it. Just seem strange to not see him on it.

It is strange.
Particularly when the line offered for Big Ben is "3.) Ben Roethlisberger. The two-time Super Bowl champ missed four games and didn't have great numbers in 2015, but he's still one of the game's best. He's only a year removed from nearly 5,000 yards, 32 TDs and only 9 INTs. The Steelers have made the playoffs eight of the 12 seasons Big Ben has been their QB."
For Peyton it could read "The two-time Super Bowl champ missed six games and didn't have great numbers in 2015, but he's only a year removed from over 4700 yards (and almost 5500 the year before), 39 TDs and only 15 INTs (55 and 10 the year before). His teams have made the playoffs 14 out of the 17 seasons he's been their QB."

I agree. I'm not saying he sucks, but he's very overrated. And why does Philip Rivers always get talked about in the top 10? What has he done?

Rivers does have a better playoff record than Romo with 4 playoff wins compared to 2 playoff wins for Romo and he's 14th on the all-time passing list 13 spots higher than Romo. If Rivers shouldn't be on the list than neither should Romo.

I know Carson Palmer ended the season looking bad in the play-offs, but he had a great season and surprises me he doesn't merit a mention.

these lists are made up by people who don't like the cowboys or tony. I do agree though if he don't win a superbowl he wont get near the hall of fame. He should o f had a mvp award in 14 and that would of helped but they are not going to give him any thing.

Not really. No championship games, no Superbowls??? Ely has to be above him. I too think
Luck is rated to high with not enough time in the league. Until Romo can win a big one, he will
rank down in the bottom of this list. QB is more than just stats, it's all about wins and big game
wins.

So what you are saying is Payton manning should be #1
